Bulk Asset import from Google cloud to aem dam

Hi all,

I am currently exploring the potential for bulk importing assets from the Google Cloud Console to the AEM DAM.

I have successfully established a connection following the documentation provided here https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/assets/assets-view/bulk-import-assets-view. My next step is to investigate whether it's possible to add a metadata field from the Google Cloud Console to the AEM DAM. If anyone has insights or experience with this, please let me know.

Thank you in advance!

Regards,

Bhavani Bharanidharan.

Hi @bhavanibharani

As @diksha_mishra suggested the easiest and straight forward way to update meta data of assets in Bulk is to upload them via CSV file. However, if you want any customization then you can use Assets HTTP API based on your use case.

@bhavanibharani  I was able to find this article online: https://cloud.google.com/asset-inventory/docs/export-asset-metadata

If you get hold of metadata from Google cloud, in an excel file, it can simply be modified and imported in AEM DAM in one go. More info here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-cloud-service/content/assets/admin/metadata-import-export
