purge autoPk sequence

Hi,

I have a schema whose primary key has:

<element autopk="true" label="Companies" labelSingular="Company" name="company"

           pkSequence="XtkNewId" sqltable="MotCompany">

Now it gives error when you try to insert new data in this schema. It says:

The solution which I am able to find is: either purge the data or start negative sequencing. But I am not able to get how to do it. Also, does purging sequence will cause any loss of existing data?
