Hi all,
Looking for approaches to integrating our designers more tightly with Campaign (we have Premium 6.11 Leads)...since we cannot install the client on a Mac.
The designers are pretty technical. They would look to work on renditions for web apps, and pushing various campaign assets, mostly images, into Resources.
What have other teams done around this? I don't see any obvious documentation on using Marketing Cloud Assets, which they do have access to, to publish/push assets into Campaign for easy accessibility.
Are there any plans for a Mac client (I bet I know the answer to that...)
Thanks,
Eugene

Hello Eugene and Sonny,
You can install Adobe Campaign client on a Windows Virtual Machine on Mac. For example using software like VMware.
The only Campaign version that can be used directly on a Mac is Adobe Campaign Standard, as it is Web-based...
As for the question around Marketing Cloud Assets, I think that as long as IMS is enabled, you can access the Marketing Cloud Assets library linked to your Marketing Cloud account from Campaign. I ran into this page: https://docs.campaign.adobe.com/doc/AC6.1/en/ITG_Assets_core_service_Configuration.html. It seems the integration with Campaign is limited to images.

Hey Eugene - I have the same request from some of the designers and marketers I work with. A workaround that our IT team developed is using Remote Desktop Connection to connect to a spare PC that has the Campaign client installed. We were looking at Citrix at some point, but it looks like it's not (yet?) on the official compatibility list.
Also curious to see what teams have done around this.

Hi Sonny,
We are taking the same initial approach to have the Mac-users remote into a spare PC.
We are also exploring the Marketing Cloud Assets route...I will keep this thread posted on our progress.
Thanks!
Eugene

Hello Eugene,
Have you tried one of the methods described above? Let us know what your approach is as it would be very interesting feedback to share with the product team.
As for the Marketing Cloud Assets, +1 to what Danny said.
I confirm that there is no plan on allowing native installation of the Campaign client on Mac. Even though I have already seen that with the use of external tools such as Wine, there is no official support for these installations nor for Virtual machines or any platform other than a native Windows system.

Hi Danny (and Florent),
Never got back to this...we had the Mac peeps install Parallels, and then Win10.
So, it is workable now.
Thanks!
