Create SFTP server

Avatar

Level 3

Hi everyone,

We need to extract data from Adobe, generating a file. The external source requieres to store that file in a SFTP server. We have currently one that we use to import data from another external source, so we need to create a new one. We can't share because we don't want to have each external source to the files from other. Do you have any idea of how it can be done?

Thank

Hi @LAR1985

Sadly in standard, there is only 1 SFTP account (1 user only)

Under the one account, you can create as many sub-directories in the main directories but they would all have the same level of access to that user. having import in one sub-directory and export on another one is the norma.

If you wish to have a 2nd account, you will need to contact Customer Care requesting the new user with the business justification of having a 2nd user.

Thanks

Denis

Hi @LAR1985

For the import, are you using ACS own SFTP or are you using one of your customer SFTPs. On ACS side, we provide only 1 SFTP account and underneath you create multiple directories.

If the SFTP you are using are provided by the customer, nothing prevents them to create multiple SFTP accounts and on ACS side you will create one external account per SFTP account which you will use accordingly in the Transfer activity

Hope this helps,

Thanks

Thanks @Denis_Bozonnet

It is the ACS own SFTP. Is there any way to create directories with different permissions o having different users in SFTP to prevent each external source to have reading permissions in the files of the other one?

Thanks
