Is there a a way to control the timings of retrying SMS/Emails from adobe campaign classic

Hi All,

Is there any way we can target the retries only in certain time period from adobe campaign classic ?

For example - restrict the retry time period to be within 9:00 A.M EST to 9:00 P.M EST ?

If the above is not possible, is there any other way we can achieve this requirement- [Retries should not happen in the specific time window?]

Thanks in advance!

Hi Praveen,

Retries from day 2 to day 5 will happen at the same time of your message preparation (check audit logs).

We could only make use of 'Period of retries' & 'Maximum number of retries' as per https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/campaign-classic/using/sending-messages/key-steps-when-creat...

This might be something for enhancement; reach out to the support team.

if you send your deliveries within 9 AM - 9 PM then retries should not happened

retries per default are setup as 5 and 1hour which means campaign will retried failed deliveries in the next 5 hours from the contact hours.

you can also try to use capacity rules in typologies

Thanks,

Thanks @DavidKangni for the suggestion.

Just one more question: Next day retries which happen daily until the delivery validity period.. will those also happen within 5 hours range of the contact time

[For example: A delivery with 5 days validity sent at 9:00 A.M on day 1, For day1-->  5 retries will happen but from day 2 , one retry will happen but is the time for those retries starting from day 2 to day 5, within 5 hours of 9:00 A.M- contact time and so on for rest 4 days?] or will it be random retried?
