Import XML containing image URLs and import into AC?

Hi there,

I have an XML file which, among other things, contains a list of images (URLs for where they are currently stored). 

Is it possible to setup an automated process to load this XML file into AC, pull the images and then upload them into the AC Public Resources folder?
