Unspecified Platform - we are seeing between 33% and 42% for the last two years by month. Is this normal?

We are seeing the % vary between 33% and 42%. We have filtered out bots and background hits. What would cause this high of a percentage?

How is "Clean Platform" calculated? That's still a custom value.. without understanding all the steps that lead to this value, we really can't tell you why the value may be consistently around 30% of your traffic...

This may be a problem with how "Clean Platform" is being tracked or calculated.. as in "real" platforms aren't being properly set into their proper buckets...

Or there may be another underlying issue...

Here is a screen shot of the Classification Rule Build definition for Clean Platform. It seems straight forward. Curious as to what other type of traffic could be coming in that is assigned to Unspecified. Again, we do have a segment called Clean Platform Exists. Thanks again for your assistance.
