network listener (transparent integration with analytic tool)

Currently Omniture code is transparent to main functionality, but still coupled with the web-site code (minimally it resides on web page), which is not feasible for our environment.

We have 100+ web applications (10+ yr old), we want to run some basic analytic against them (no. of unique users, total number of hits etc), nothing fancy. Just to see usage pattern around them.

Applications are on http protocol, so reading encrypted packet is not an issue.

I was wondering if Omniture/adobe provide some sort of network utility to do this?

I would explore the potential of using hardcoded image requests: http://adobe.ly/1v0OF4R

Do you have access to the web server logs? You could import the log files using Data Sources: http://microsite.omniture.com/t2/help/en_US/sc/datasources/datasrc_web_log.html
