Marketing Channels: Sub-channel

Is there any way to create a sub-channel?

I want to split my Paid Search channel between Branded and Unbranded but I still want them to roll-up under one channel.

You can make each as a marketing channel, then upload a SAINT classification to roll them up.  Not perfect for every scenario (you can't roll up in the Marketing Channel Overview), but works pretty well.

Thanks for the reply Mike!

I assume this would involve Adobe support/consulting.

An administrator could do it without Adobe support if they knew how.

You basically need permission to 1) change your marketing channel definitions  2) upload SAINT classifications.

You'd then also need some way to know brand vs non-brand to create the two channels, perhaps through the campaign ID, keyword or some other value being passed in.

Hi Mike, thanks for the response. I didn't realize that SAINT classifications are regular classification which I have worked with.

I was confusing these with VISTA rules.
