Group anonym user actions by percentiles (25% of users, 50% for users, etc)

Hi community,

We have a calculated metric created from a filtered eVar, like this: Users Tests Completed = (PageName contains "Result Page"). I know, we have no success event for this.

We would like group how many times the same user got to that page (matches the calculated metric) grouped by percentiles. For example:

  • 75% of users visited this page at least 1 time.
  • 50% of users visited this page at least 3 times.
  • 25% of users visited this page at least 4 times.

Can we do it even if we have no login process? I mean, can we do it from anonym users? I know about cross-browser, but if we assume users will use same browser/device any time.

Thanks,

Yes, you can get it with anonymous users, by using the Unique Visitors metric, and using that with = appropriate segments.

The tricky part will be defining your segments properly for the 1 / 3 / 4 times. Sequential segments might help you with this.
