Fallout Analysis - Adobe Analytics

Does anyone know what the number in the upper left corner is supposed to represent?

I believe at some point, there was the option to hide the "all visits" | "all visitors" number that displays in the upper left corner.

^^^ blog post that I found that has the "hide" option within the settings of the Fallout tile.

By default, when first creating a Fallout, either "All visits" | "All visitors" pre populates as the first step..... I was under the impression that this Fallout analysis feature is to build a journey that a user takes that i defined within this funnel.... why would there be two different totals that display when one is not applicable to the funnel that I define? Also - when i've duplicated panels that has a Fallout/Funnel - it copies over the same total of "all visits" used in the previous/old panel......

"All Visits" in the upper left corner is all the visits using the constraints of your panel (date range, any applied segments, etc).

The Visits listed on the first step are the visits that match your first step criteria.

Even though you removed the "All Visits" first step, that value will still show in the legend (top left). Since you can compare multiple segments in the same fallout, the "total" visits for each group will be shown here, then your step will show the reduced number based on your step:
