Custom attributes with Site Catalysts

Hi, I need to track attributes of a user profile just as gender, job title, etc, however I don't want to upload any of my data into Adobes cloud services. Is there a way customize Site Catalyst to pull that information from my database, as opposed to me having to upload it?

    Your main choices are to store an ID and upload this information as a SAINT Classification or to securely upload your customer data to a DB VISTA table and populate variables by keying off of a unique customer ID.
