We used 3rd party booking engine for hotel booking and so we have cross domain issue. As every time people go to reserve a room, they will be redirected to 3rd party booking engine and complete the reservation there. So cannot pass the "source" value back.
We used friendly 3rd party cookie in 3rd party booking engine and added "internal url filter" , while it turns out In the last touch marketing channel report, we see that around 50% of hotel bookings falls under "internal" last touch marketing channel report.
May I know anyone experience this issue? Please kindly advise , thanks so much.

Hi Andy,
1. Make sure you set both internal URL filters and s.linkinternal filters
2. Also, make sure that you do have this set to: Ignore hits matching internal URL filters. I think this could be the cause of the issue.
Info: https://marketing.adobe.com/resources/help/en_US/mchannel/r_channel_rule_definitions.html
Ideally you could post a screenshot of your internal link filter set up and Marketing channel set up. The community will then be able to troubleshoot quicker.
Cheers

Thanks Kristi !
May I know the s.linkinternal filters need to set up on our own?
For the 2nd method , I think I may already set before.
Please see the screenshot of internal link filter set up and marketing channel set up in details , thanks so much!

If they take more than 30 minutes on the 3rd-party booking site, it's going to steal last touch credit since that starts a new visit. I'd recommend going into the Marketing Channel Manager and unchecking 'Override Last-Touch Channel'. That should help with the internal channel stealing so much credit for bookings.
