We are trying to ensure accuracy in our Time Spent/Page Metric. We want to exclude Page Views of a page for single page visits (in other words, only include page views in the denominator that aren't a single page visit. We currently don't have that segment for the numerator (total seconds spent). Do we need to have that segment in the numerator to get this metric correct? In Adobe, we put this calculated metric on a freeform table with a segment of the hit of the page we are interested in above it and then our dimension is usually month.
Any thoughts to help?

Hi @skatofiabah, it might be worth considering total seconds spent against visits which do not include the last/single hit on a page.

Adobe already takes takes the single page visits into account in its time calculations...
If you don't want to see it in "seconds", just take the existing average metric, and set it to display as time:

Assuming this is a calculated metric you made and not adobe out of box? Also, I think it include time stamps where there could be a single page visit because it could include link calls that keep a user on the same page. Plus, this above calculation is time/visit, whereas I need time/page that excludes single page visits. I need to segment my numerator too, right?

Average Time is a standard out of the box metric.. if you don't see it, you should check the Admin Console and make sure that this metric is added in your permissions....
Also, as far as I am aware, only "Page View" beacons are counted in the Time Spent... Adobe wouldn't know which actions resulted in leaving the page, or staying on the page, so including time stamps in the calculations would result in really wonky results... Actions could be anything from clicks on elements, to "overlay shown", to even opt-in accepted... it wouldn't make sense for those to be used in any time spent calculation...
