Analytics Scroll Depth

Doing research on Scroll Depth for our website. In workspace, it looks like we have setup metrics and dimensions to determine the scroll depth, but it's not clear that this is the correct implementation. A metric exists for footer scroll and page depth, which both do not appear to be the percentage of the page viewed metric. Dimensions (in red) exist for Scroll Depth - with (Prop17) after it, Exit Scroll Depth (prop17), Entry Scroll Depth (prop17), as well as Scroll Depth Classifications (Exit and Entry). When placed in the workspace, these dimensions return numbers between 1 and 100, but don't seem related to the page metrics being viewed. Am I wrong to think Scroll depth should always be a metric? Any help is appreciated.

It looks to be a custom implementation. You may want to contact your Analytics team to find out how the prop was set up, which metrics it should be used with, and what pages this implementation covers.

For your information, each prop variable will be shown in Analysis Workspace together with "Exit" and "Entry" variations. They are added automatically.

This is purely speculation, but it sounds like it's using the getPercentPageViewed plugin, which tells the percentage of the page viewed. If the user scrolled all the way to the bottom of the page, it would be 100.

You'll definitely want to talk to your Analytics team about it though, preferably those who helped implement the tool.
