Adobe analytics network calls getting cancelled

Avatar

What could be the reason where , I see the Beacon getting cancelled  while when I check the ecid against it the event, eVar and props getting captured . Have anyone experienced this behaviour?Has anyone come across a case where the beacons seem to be getting cancelled, but the data (events, eVars, props) still shows up in Adobe Analytics? Trying to understand what could cause this behavior

Hi @SA30

are you sure it's your calls that are being received on AA side?" Or could they stem from other visitors?

Typical reasons could be the use of an ad blocker or potentially network traffic limitations imposed by your network admins.

Do you have a sample screenshot of your network traffic?

Cheers from Switzerland!

Yes, I have checked the calls are received from AA from my ECID.

It is usually not all beacons getting cancelled while particular clicks randomly on page have such issue.

But , I can still see data getting captured in Adobe Analytics.

Sorry, I wouldn't be able share the traffic screenshot due to security concerns.

Hi @SA30 ,

I second@bjoern__koth's question to verify if you are definitely seeing the data for same ECID for same instance? Couple of ideas for further analysis.

1. Maybe try using real-time reports to trigger some page views and check if you are seeing the data indeed?

2. Another common reason for blocked call is Cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) blocking. There are many Chrome extensions such as CORS Unblock that is available for you to test this theory.

3. What is the status code of aborted call? Is it 302? Also, are you using Launch & DTM Switch and seeing the call abort on one environment but redirected to another?

Best,

Isha
