Adobe Analytics Curriculum for Education

Avatar

Level 1

Hello. I’m a professor at the University of Kansas teaching a social media metrics course this semester and using part of the Adobe Analytics curriculum (touted here: https://news.adobe.com/news/news-details/2021/Adobe-Launches-Adobe-Analytics-for-Higher-Education-to...).

I have questions related to the administration of our Adobe Analytics accounts:

1). Are the account levels for students and instructors the same? For example, is there a way for instructors to oversee students’ accounts?
2). What is the best way for students to sign up for their accounts? Does everyone (students and instructors) sign up here: https://experienceleague.adobe.com/landing/analytics-university?
3). Does anyone in higher ed have feedback about the core curriculum (PDF and videos) and demo data? Students will be asked to complete part of the Adobe Analytics curriculum with additional reports tailored to segmenting social media visitor behaviors. I'm wondering if the data reporting and visualization are mainly observational-type reports like Google Analytics or whether diagnostic and predictive analyses can also be run with the basic demo data. Many years ago, I used Omniture but it's been a while, so I'm hoping the platform is as good as I remember.

Thanks for any insight you can share!

Hi Jdconli

Let me preface I am not a user of the eduction curriculum so cannot comment on points #1 or #2.

I just wanted to remind of a huge change from Adobe(not a good on in my personal opinion).

Adobe is ending its Reports and Analytics interface.

https://experienceleague.adobe.com/docs/analytics/analyze/reports-analytics/getting-started.html

This for you especially may be a huge challenge as you will need to ensure any content you refer to is not suddenly out of date...

Thanks, GLTU. The transition description is not very clear but my understanding is that the older reports and analytics features that are scheduled to be phased out are redundant with current Analysis Workspace features. Adobe will stop supporting the old features at the end of next year, 2023. If we stick with Analysis Workspace features I'm assuming we'll be fine but if anyone has more clarification I'd appreciate it!

Exactly to be safe and make sure your curriculum does quickly become dated stick to Analysis workspace topics as they should not change significantly. Some of the legacy reports will eventually be added to work space but now for several more months.
