Like Google Analytics, Asynchronous Tracking will allow browsers to continue rendering the page while s_code.js loads in the background.

Benefits include:

Faster load times
Enhanced data collection & accuracy
Elimination of tracking errors from dependencies when s_code.js hasn't fully loaded

I'm surprised there hasn't been more interest in this. Especially now that the Adobe TagManager product is live!
