Set Workspace as default landing area for new users

Currently when you add a new user, they default to Reports view. As Adobe is pushing users to Workspace, doesn't it make more sense to either default to Workspace or allow administrators the option to select  where users land? Every new user I add, I have to explain how to navigate to the right location and set their own default space to open. I don't want to push a Workspace dashboard to All users every time I add someone new, as this is inefficient and some users might have decided to set their own default dashboard and this action would override their choice.

Bel,

Have you considered disabling access to the Reports UI?

@_bel_ /@andrey_osadchuk ,

If memory serves me correctly, when you go to the Workspace page, if Workspace is not set has your default landing page, there is a link the user may select to set it as their default landing page.  You could also create a standard placeholder "report" in Workspace and set it as the landing page for your users by assigning them all to the same Product Profile.

Simply enter and select the Product Profile into the permission you wish for them to have - Can Edit/Can Dupliccate/Can View, and you are set!

The default landing page for Analytics changed June 2020 to Workspace (instead of Reports). Any user that had not previously customized their landing page began landing on the Workspace project list page at that time.

With the new Components > User preferences page, users can also more easily customize their landing page to be the default (Workspace project list), a blank project or a specific project.
