Metric Filters

Hi there,

An idea that would be really useful for us is metric filters/criteria in workspace.

At the moment if you drop an Evar on a free form table you can filter based on values.

What I would love to see is the ability to do this on metrics (greater than / less than) as currently we have to do these reports in report builder / excel.

An (very crude) example of what I am after is below.

Thanks

Dave

This would be really useful, for example I get requests for the "Bottom 5 pages by visits in the last quarter" but they never mean the 50 pages that got "1" visit because their classifier was mis-coded, or it's an obscure foreign language, or whatever glitchy reason, they really mean "the bottom 5 pages with at least one visit per business day" or something along those lines, so this is another reason why a metric filter on the data table, or a floor feature that eliminates the zero rows, would be a great feature to have.

Hey @trevorpaulsen how long does it usually take for a feature to move from investigating to implemented!

Even though this seems really simple, I'm using report builder just to get around this issue and only show relevatn data.  It would be great to be able to simply filter out "0" in workspace.

The abilty to filter by metrics is essential to my job and I know it is to any analytics job. I don't understand why this feature was not implemented from the beginning as well as having a compare calendar date range that changes all the metrics at once and not one metric at a time which is so annoying.

@jenlasser+ @Urs_Boller

It's 3 years to the day since I raised this and there have been over 100 customers asking/liking it (if you include the duplicates Jen mentioned in her post). Is this filter on your road map yet. I understand that the Adobe API can't filter an aggregated metric in the request in the same way it can a string/evar, but surely it would not be hard to do post request (we already do it ourselves in Python).

Thanks and have a great christmas.

It seems there have been a lot of requests coming in to add this feature. How many more upvotes/comments would Adobe need to add this feature into the product roadmap? Please advice.

There are quite a few very useful features not available in workspace today. For Eg. - calendar events; custom conditional formating for breakdown reports, statistical visualizations. We have individual threads running on Adobe Community for each of them.

Thanks!
