I think it would be very helpful to have a Key Segments report. It would be just like the Key Metrics report, but instead of selecting multiple metrics and having them trended against each other, you would instead select multiple segments and see them trended against each other. There isn't currently a way to pull multiple segments into a single report and compare them. Trended reports work great for comparing variable values, but many customer segments aren't defined exclusively by one variable so standard trended reports don't always meet this need. I also think it would result in some easier workflows as I already have segments created and just want an easy way of comparing them.
