Admittedly this is similar to Speed up the admin UI functions in sitecatalyst but specifically around ad-hoc reporting, especially when trying to cross analyse more than two Report Suites with segments, or trending data over time. Some of this can be cured with dashboards but ad-hoc analysis is sometimes unpredictable!
In some instances ad-hoc analysis may take more than a couple of steps:
- Change Report Suite
- Navigate to report
- Set date period(s) if required
- Adjust metrics (if different from default)
- Trend data if needed
- Select Top/Custom list if trending/Data filtering
- Change granularity
- Configure chart number/percentage
For those of us restricted to Reports & Analytics a reporting 'canvas' where the user identifies parameters upfront would be a great help in allocating more valuable time to analysis rather than extraction!
