While working with a client I faced the following situation.
We created a dashboard containing, among other stuff, some reportlets with applied segments.
Then we used this 'basic' dahsboard to create several other ones, each with a dashboard level applied segment.
Unfortunately, when we applied the dashboard level segment, the reportlet level segments have been replaced by the dashboard level segment.
That was unexpected. We expected that the applied segments would be eventually stacked.
I suggested the client to open a
ticket.
But the customer care told that the segment replacement is working accordingly to the current product design, suggesting to forward this idea to the Idea Exchange.
So here is my idea. Any segment applied to a dashboard should be stacked with any other segment applied at reportlet level.
