Analysis Workspace - Share Segments that are applied to shared Calculated Metrics

When i share a workspace project with someone and select the Automatically Shared Embedded Components with Recipients option, the other user can view any Calculated Metric. However, if there is a segment nested in the shared Calculated Metric, the user is unable click to view the segment logic.

Hi Susan,

Just to make sure I'm understanding correctly, the nested segment is not shared with the user, correct?  Sharing only makes it so the segment shows up in the left rail in Workspace, it shouldn't have any bearing on whether the segment can be previewed, or even edited/viewed in the segment builder.  Can the user click on the preview and see the definition that way?

Hi Brandon,

Below is a screenshot of an example of what the user sees – they are unable to click into the metric from workspace, and since the nested segments are not shared, they cannot find them in the Segment Manager.

My expectation would be that the user can open an edit view of the calculated metric and segments to Save As a copy if needed. Would this be possible? Since many of our users are in workspace often, this would be a helpful enhancement for them to customize further using admin-created metrics/segments as a foundation.
