Add Calendar Events through API

The ability to add new calendar events through API. Up on creating a new campaign I would like to be able to automatically add a new event in the calendar for that new campaign.  It can be done through the SiteCatalyst under Favorites -> Calendar Events. It would be awesome if we can add new events through the API.

Yes, or may be there will also be the alternative to upload this additional calendar events via FTP as it works fine for classification and other things.
