Ability to set Chart and Time Period Default Values in Discover

I would like to be able to tell Discover that by default when I open a new report, I do/don't want to see the chart and I want my time period to be day, week, month, etc...  This would save a lot of time...Thanks!

You can now turn off charting from Tools -> Settings -> Chart Settings in Discover. You also have more flexible calendaring that should accomplish default time period values.
