Hi Team,

 

 

Can anyone suggest me how to track end to end user journey tracking from adobe analytics for individual user.

 

Required solution to show user journey on flow chart will be more helpful.

Are you looking to track a specific individual or aggregated unique users?

In either case, Adobe has a flow and a fallout report that might be useful.

  • The flow report allows you to visualize a visitor's journey through dimensions (such as page name) and success events (such as an order).
  • The fallout report shows you the progress through a process or path you can define.

These can be filtered or you can use segments to filter the data sets. For an individual users path, you would need an identifier like a registered user GUID and segment using that.

Thanks for your reply but We want to see in which channel visitor coming our site and what they are doing and how they are exit from our site in one dashboard.

If you are tracking the ECID of the User in a dimension (prop or eVar), you could just create a segment for that individual user and apply it on the panel level. Or if you are tracking a user based on an internal system UUID/Guid that you are tracking, you can segment for that.

 

All the data in the panel, including the flow diagram will be limited to the 1 user.

 

Now, the segment could be built in several ways, particularly if you are segmenting based on an internal id...

 

Technically speaking, you will only have that user's ID when they are logged in, but when they log out, in theory you shouldn't be tracking this any longer (unless of course you set up a long running eVar expiry). But before they make themselves known, you don't have that id....

 

If you use HIT level segment, you will only get the data from where you have the value in your eVar (which may be Hit, or Visit, or Visitor, etc expiry depending on your setup)

 

If you use VISIT level segment, you will get the entire Visit, for all Visits where that user was known, including the pages prior to login.

 

If you use VISITOR level segment, you will get all the Visits for that Visitor (within the reporting range) even for Visits that the user didn't log in (and there was no attribution for the id)

Thanks for your reply, Yes we are storing visitor id in prop&evar but the requirement is 

We want to see in which channel visitors are coming to our site and what they are doing and how they are exit from our site.

@RobertBlakeley showed you how to do a flow diagram... this shows the touch points that a group of users is taking (or could be paired with a segment to identify a specific visitor to follow a particular user's journey).

 

You can mix and match any dimensions into a flow diagram.. including the "Site Section / Channel"... 

 

The flow is showing the "entry point" (green) (note, Robert's sample showed a flow using a specific entry point, but you can create a flow that goes through any midway point in the flow as well). The exit point from the site is indicated by the red, and you can see multiple areas where people are leaving in the sample above.

So I am confused about what kind of report are you really looking for if neither answer is what you want?
