In my widget, i want to have a group picker which returns all groups in cq and allows user to pick one. Which xtype i should use or do I need to create a customized one?

I am using sitecatalyst on cq5.6.1.Its working fine on author instance and all my onclick function is working but on publish instance my onclick function is not working and not able to move on next page on onclick of button in my page and am getting sitecatalyst js error in console.I have install author package on publish instance with my website sitecatalyst framework.Please tell am I missing something to deploy the code on publish instance. Regards,

We're looking to set up a system that replaces placeholder text on a page based on passed query string parameters. For example, the authored content would look like -The customer, {CUSTOMER_NAME} can be sold the product for {PRODUCT_PRICE}.And those placeholder values could be swapped out in the jsp through the url query string parameters -/content/site/page1?customer_name=Smith&product_price=6.99I'm sure we could develop this ourselves fairly easily but i was wondering if there was anything out of the box that supported any kind of content placeholder/text replacement?Thanks

I haven't been able to find any explicit information in the 5.6.1 release notes about which security hotfixes are included, so just wanted to confirm if the 5.6.0 Security Hotfix 3659 improvements are already part of the 5.6.1 release? Or should it also be installed on 5.6.1 instances?I'd expect there would be a seperate hotfix, specific for 5.6.1, if this were the case, but seeing as I'm new to AEM, I just wanted to check.ThanksStewart

How to import and export particular node in cq5

Hi,As part of our recent upgrade from 5.5 to 5.6.1 we need to update the versions of some of our jars eg cq-commons-5.5. My question is inside the adobe repo what version of the jars should we be using for 5.6.1 and do we need to update the author/publish instance with the jars from the repo?ThanksChris 

Hi, I need a date picker component on my form. I couldnt find any default date picker for form provided by CQ.But I found some datePicker related code in "/libs/granite/ui/components/foundation/form/datepicker" .It doesn't look like a component. Can Someone suggest me on how to use this date picker provided on a form. Regards,Kishna

Is configuring the replication agent to point to the publish CQ instance using a dispatcher or load balance URL a supported configuration?When I tried the same, the asset was disappearing from the replication queue and showing status "green" against an asset. We are trying to create two different versions of same OSGI bundles. On changing only the version, the newer version bundle overrides the older version bundle.We can not see two different versions bundles in Adobe system console. Our purpose is to read the classes created in same package in multiple version of the bundle.We have used @reference annotation for targeting the class files with some properties values. But we are unable to read different class files with this approach.Have any one tried to use multi version capability of OSGI framework?

Hi AllI am developing a extjs component that has the dropdown and the textbox.Can someone suggest me how to validate the dropdown when i click the add item?For example:suppose initially i have "cat, rat, dog" ..... after selecting cat and clicking the additem.... it should populate only "rat, dog" in my dropdown and not the "cat"kindly someone suggest me to slove this.

Hi there,AEM has a great feature, that if you delete pages, then you can restore them at a later point.Is there any limit to when you will no longer be able to restore the pages?  I.e. after a Tar Optimization or similar?  Will this purge deleted content content?  Or is maintained forever as part of the CRX version history?Thanks!

We want to store some users in a different location to the default /home/usersWe also want to use the user manager to achieve this. How do we create a new user manager that has a different location for users eg /home/newlocation/users for example? Finally can we then use this new user manager when implementing the social features of cq 5.6. E.g can we tell the comments system to look for users using our new user manager? We would also want to keep the default user manager.

We have a set of components for which we are using editbars rather than rollovers for various UI reasons. On a single page we may have around 40 components with these editbars. In AEM 5.6.1 we are seeing a significant JS performance issue when switching from edit mode to preview mode, as well as a few other use cases. The core scripts are taking anywhere from 30 to 60s to run and often trigger the browser's "unresponsive script" warnings.Some profiling suggests that for the approximately 40 editbars, 1 call to WCM.hide is generating 217 calls to EditBar's hide (more than we have editable components), ~1,400 calls to WCM getNestedEditables, ~62,000 calls to up/findParentNode/findParent in Element.traversal.js, and ~783,000 calls to is/filter/byAttribute/isXml in DomQuery.js (and an associated ~791,000 calls to isArray in Ext.js).I was wondering if anyone else has run into similar issues with editbars? Hi,My Apache web server is fronting a CQ dispatcher that is rendering from a CQ Publish Instance on the server.  Everything works correctly until I try to put a .htpasswd in my Apache config to require user authentication before users can access my CQ Publish instance.  Whenever I browse to my site, I get an authentication prompt.  This behavior is expected.  I put the user credentials, as defined by my .htpasswd file and the prompt goes away.  However, I will get a second prompt with the following message"The server http://myserver:80 requires a username and password.  The server says: Sling (Development)."Regardless of which user credentials I use, authentication will fail and I get the first password prompt from my .htaccess file.I can see from my Apache's error log that the second authentication attempt was against a content in my CQ Publish instance's repository.  Why would this happen?  What is missing in my configuration?  If I remove .htaccess, I get no authentication prompts.P

Hi ,I am facing a small problem with the current text component in CQ5 ,  Whenever I am making any hyperlink with the help of text component and I select the option of "Open in New    Window " it is getting captured inside the text element properties . But the link does not open in new window , the reason being the property escapeXml="true" used in the text.jsp of text component is removing the target="_blank" from the text .Can anyone , please help me in this .
