Adobe Workfront

HI Folks,  Racking my brain to figure this out but cant and not sure if it can be done. In a report (project) can i add a column where it pulls in the Start/Due date of a specific task?  I cant find anything standard to pull in Task info into a project report. And i cant make a task report behave the way i want with columns to show the Start or Due date. What i want is to have a report where a single project is on a row. In the columns there are selected tasks (hopefully using something like "task name contains - Schedule meeting") and one column has the start, and one the due date. Can this be done using text and how?  Thanks!! 

Hi There! I'm unable to update "commit dates" in WF as a bulk process; however, it allows me to do so for each and every task. Can't we update them as a bulk process? Regards,Vino

We are completely new to Workfront and I would like to get clarified on few things which I'd listed out below;1) When a request Intake form is submitted, the request will be automatically considered as a "Issue" and that request show under the requests submitted UI. Will it also be shown under the "Issues" list of the project? &  when we don't have a project, where this request will be shown?2) When a request Intake form is submitted, the request will be automatically considered as a "Issue" and that "Issue" can be converted to only one task or multiple tasks?3) If a request (issue) got converted in to task, will it be linked or mapped to the particular issue? where it originated from?4) Also, if i want to create a multiple tasks from an Issue (originally request), how will it be possible?5) How & where can we define the mandatory & optional fields that user needs to be filled when submitting the Request Intake form Thanks,

Is there a text mode syntax that I can use to pull a column into a Recently Deleted (Documents) section view that will indicate if a document is a proof or not?  We have users ask us to restore documents and they don't always tell us if they are proofs or not. This causes issues when we restore them from the WF recycling instead of ProofHQ recycling since it does not restore them as proofs. I would love to be able to quickly see if a document is a proof or not from the Recently Deleted section to avoid this issue. 

For Workfront Admins, is there a way to view all the specific approval requests made to another user? For our current instance of Workfront, we are limited in how many approvals certain users can make each month. Within the Users section, we can see how many decisions each user made each month but cannot drill into each of these approval requests.  Thank you!!

Does anyone know of any way to suppress all the custom statuses that equate with a default status in the key of a report. Maybe another. way to say this would be is there a way to create a custom label for a group in the key of a report.  For example I have report that is grouped by status and on the chart the key identifies which color represents each status grouping. However, there are several other custom statuses that my group doesn't even use that show up in the label of each group in that key, i.e. the "In Progress" group says something like "In Progress, BDR Qualified, Approved to Bid . . . ." Any ideas on how to change the label of this group in the key of the report?

In a project report, is there a way to create a column that lists either the documents that are not in a sub-folder, or those in one particular folder?  For example, if we have a folder common to all projects (call it Final) and the project report column lists only documents found in that folder for each project in the report. I know that listmethod=nested(documents).lists will include all documents in the documents folder.  I also tried listmethod=documents.lists, but that appears to do the same thing.  Do I need to use something other than type=iterate? Thanks! Shawn

Hi all,  Is it possible to create a proofing approval report that will only show me proofs that have more than one stage?  We're currently experiencing some trouble with non-reviewing users accidentally opening proofs and creating an automatic second stage.  While I haven't found an easy way to prevent that, having a report that shows me proofs which have been effected is a good compromise.  Our "normal" proofs always only have a single stage, so this report would help me spot anything that's gone awry at a glance.  I tried using the built-in reporting filters, but I wasn't able to figure this out on my own. Is it even possible?

I'm trying to cut down on the number of daily digest emails my team receives. Rather than have one daily digest per notification category, is it possible to select multiple categories for one combined daily digest email?

I'm encountering some limitations with Boards in Workfront and I haven't had much luck finding any documentation or community posts so I'm making my own post and hoping someone can offer some insights. For both Tags and Checklists, I find that if I need to modify the board filter, then I lose any tags or checklist items that had been added to the cards.  Which is super frustrating because it takes a lot of time to add them since they need to be added one at a time.  Does anyone know why this happens and why the data doesn't persist?It's unclear to me what the Unselected column (dynamic board) is for and why I can't remove it.  What's up with that?And is there any way to report on the card data?  Sometimes I want to report by tag, or I want to bulk edit a bunch of cards at once to add a tag...but it doesn't seem possible.  Any suggestions>? - Thanks

Has anyone tried using either of these methods with the external lookup functionality?  I am really curious how they would be used and what they would accomplish.

Our team is starting to work in Workfront Planning. We know about the calendar view. We are looking for advice on how to link multiple calendars into one "Super" Calendar. Imagine regional teams (EMEA, APAC, LATAM, US, Global) each having their own workspace where they document their regional events. For day-to-day life they focus on their regional events. Now imagine a global marketing leader wants to see what we have planned for global events ALONG with regional events in a timeline view. The goal of this view is to make sure we are optimizing the regional events and make sure they are timed correctly and don't take away from the global events

I need two programming codes for reports. I'm hoping someone here can help me out before I submit a ticket.  1) I want the predecessor task(s) to show as the predecessor number (w/ hyperlink) as well as the date due. If I can only get one, the date due is a higher priority, but I still need the hyperlink.2) I need the predecessor's predecessor task names (also w/ hyperlinks). We have a "readiness date" which has several predecessors and I need to be able to see what those are in a report. Thanks in advance!

I'm trying to find a way to run a task report that will show me when a Project Sponsor is not one of the users assigned to the task in that project.   These do not work assignmentsUsersMM:ID=FIELD:projectSponsorID assignmentsUsersMM:ID_Mod=notinassignmentsUsersMM:ID=FIELD:project:sponsorIDassignmentsUsersMM:ID_Mod=notin     I'm not sure if it's possible since the Assignments is a collection of data on the task, and ultimately, it's too many jumps to get to the project sponsor ID?     Any suggestions?  

Hi Team,I’m trying to update the logic of a calculated field, but I see that it is currently mapped to multiple objects (like Project and Issue). When I attempt to update the logic, I’m running into errors. After checking the documentation, I found that the recommended approach is to rename the existing field, create a new field, and then apply the updated logic there.Could you please suggest what objects might be impacted by this change, and what key considerations I should keep in mind before proceeding?Thanks in advance for your guidance!

Hi there, One of our users is getting duplicate email notifications on any project she is on. All of her notification settings are normal, and she shouldn't be getting duplicates. Please see the attached for reference.Any idea on why this is happening?Thank you!

Priorities is nether simplified nor will it help MY users organise their work. I thought it was lesson learned from the blueprints menu item everyone complained about.  

I have a user who is unable to add tasks above/below a selected task. When they select a task the icons don't appear. Ditto when they select a task and the 3 dots (edit). They only way they can add a task is via New Task. They have manage access to the projects and planner licence. Other users are able to do this so i figure it must be something to do with their set up. 

Hello! Hoping someone can help! We have been trying to set up a new approval method with proofs and we want the final decision maker to have to sign. I have selected "Require decision to be electronically signed" but each time it pops up to ask for the username and PW it says it's incorrect! We are using the Proof process within WF and not the stand-alone app. The person who is required to electronically sign is a Workfront user. We all use Single Sign On. And they have Manager Proof permissions.... What am I missing?? Pls help!

Hey WF Community,Has anyone cracked the code on generating a report that shows planned hours and actual, by assignee, for any given calendar date range, when there are many assignees on a given task?  That last part is the kicker.  If we only had one assignee per task I could generate this report. I've received this request from users many times over the years and I'm yet to find a reporting solution within WF that can accommodate this. Thanks,Nick

Hello community, most of users in our instance complain for terrible system performance today. Sometimes WF pages won't load at all, sometimes it would take minutes, sometimes they get errors, and finally sometimes it would just load fine. This seems to be independent of geo location, browser used, internet speed etc. Are you having similar problems today? If confirmed this will hopefully help to escalate with the support as for now they don't see any issue.  Let me know and thanks in advance

I was wondering if anybody was willing to share the steps to export project data to XML?  I'm the admin but not a developer so when I reviewed EL, it appeared a bit over my head.  I DID, manually export a project to Microsoft Project (which is EML for Project from what I read), but when I imported into Excel it only brought in one row and not all the task data. Any help would be appreciated before I ping Support 🙂
