Team, Wanted to check that Marketo support deep links login with Azure SAML Single Sign On process. Is there any separate configuration need to be be done? Example: if any one clicks through design studio, marketing activities or admin pages (https://engage-ab.marketo.com/?munchkinId=********/classic/AD0A1 ) directly rather than going through main login page. Will the SSO implementation support deep links? Currently, if I paste any direct deep links to login, I'm seeing pop up link to the login page WITHOUT SSO integration.  Regards,Royston

We've been working with emails crafted in HTML and are encountering difficulties in making the content fully editable within Marketo. While we can edit the textual content without issues, we're facing significant challenges with certain sections of the email—specifically, our inability to duplicate or remove parts as needed. For various emails, there's a need to either add or eliminate segments.In an attempt to address this, I've tried to manipulate the HTML by incorporating Marketo-specific tags to enhance editability of these blocks. Unfortunately, this led to a multitude of errors, encompassing both invalid modules and syntax issues. I sought to rectify these by conducting a comprehensive code review through GPT-4 chat assistance, which resulted in corrected code segments. Question: If we add fields "Email 2" and "Email 3" from CRM how are these handled?1) Confirm these email addresses would not be sent any email.2) If a form completion is done with an email address that is in one of those values, will Marketo know not to create a new record?

Hi - when we set up sync, we were told we should have a dedicated SFDC license, but for the life of me I can't figure out what the reason is. We ended up using my boss's seat as he rarely uses it, but he occasionally does and then forgets his password and thus my sync is hosed. I do have a SFDC license with full admin privledges but basically use it for back-end admin stuff and reporting. I don't work any leads or opportunities, so that wouldn't be an issue. Any reasons anyone can think of that my account shouldn't be used as the sync account?

This question references my previous question on BOT activity We are engaging in some A/B testing of our marketing emails that are in an engagement stream, as one should.  I choose "new test" 50/50 with champion and challenger.  Up to now we have only done subject line tests.  I have tried 'Click to open %' and 'Custom Conversion Ratio' (clicking on one specific link in that email), but all results are within a couple clicks of 50/50.  This week we tried whole emails, and STILL the results are 50/50 I am starting to get the feeling that BOT activity is driving these A/B test results.  In the previous question linked above, we had found out that a large amount of our clicks were coming from the first link in the TEXT ONLY version, suspecting BOT activity.  A recent email:Do you have any ideas on how to filter out BOT clicks for A/B testing?Thanks.

We are trying to set up the Adobe Connect LaunchPoint service for our Live Webinars and we are having problems setting up the service. The link required for the meetings folder url is not clear as to what it should be and we are getting an Authentication Failure error when trying to make the connection. We have created other services before so we are not sure what is different about this one.  

I am looking to create a velocity script that assigns token value by page segmentation instead of lead segmentation. So for example, I want to assign a different token value based on language segment. The reason I do not want to use lead segmentation values is not all leads are cookied and may not have values.  How can I segment dynamical in velocity script by page segmentation?

We have some legally required operational email that are sent out to consumers. It's the first time some of these consumers have heard from us. We noticed in our monitoring that occasionally we get marked as spam.  If we get any SPAM notifications, we disable email address and instead send a physical letter. So we are trying to keep our lists as clean as possible.  However, we are trying to understand if there would be any changes to deliverability or sender reputation from Gmail or Yahoo based on these operational emails getting marked as SPAM.

Hi I would like to add on a landing page a calendar with a specific and defined range date - this is for a tradeshow.People can then select a date and a time.Then they must fill out a form (First name last name, email, company and comments) to submit their request.OPTION1Once submitted, an email is sent to the coordinator with all details about the request and the requester.OPTION2Once submitted all meetings (with meeting and requester details) are stored in an online planning (in marketo?) that can be viewed by our coordinator.Can I do this in Marketo? I am creating a couple of emails in a flow and would like to bring through a datestamp at a certain point in the flow for use as a token in one of the emails. We are using form fill as the trigger and so I have tried using the ‘Last Interesting Moment Date’ token but it keeps pulling the right date but the wrong time (usually off by a couple of hours either way). Does anyone know why this is and is there any way of fixing this or editing the code in the email so that it brings through the correct date/time? Also as a follow up question is there a way to re-format the date/time? 

Our company has set up all our marketing emails as Non-Operational in order to ensure that we are complying with the new Google inbox requirements. Since Marketo adds the List-Unsubscribe header feature  to all emails we assumed everything was working properly. We implemented the changes on Jan. 31.  Given the impact on non-compliance, we wanted to ensure that everything was working properly within Gmail. Since we can't send sample emails to see if the unsubscribe link is working properly (per Marketo documentation / support), our team set up deliverability tests to check using our teams personal gmail addresses. Unfortunately, in some of our emails that are set up as a non-operational emails we are seeing that the unsubscribe link does not show up in the Gmail App. However, on another email (also set up as non-operational) it is showing the link in the header of the Gmail App. When you look at both emails in the generic iPhone email app – these both have a mes

In order to ensure that our subdomains are set up correctly for upcoming changes Gmail is making for inboxing, we have been reviewing all our emails / set up. We noticed in a few cases that the mailed-by (Return-path) and signed-by match and other cases where they don't match. We were told by Marketo support these should NOT match.  All of these subdomains are set up in our admin area the same way. How does Marketo delineate which one should NOT be used as a sender if it was set up for signed-by? Since we do have some emails where these two items match - what issue is it causing? I understand these aren’t suppose to match. However, based on what we found – in some cases they do.

Hi, does anyone know if there's a specific size for hero images for Landing Pages in Marketo?  I know it depends of the module on the template, but do you have any suggestions for this? I've tried different sizes and some work, some don't. Thanks

A common challenge email marketers and MOPs teams encounter is managing inactive and unengaged records within their database. Emailing inactive records can have negative impact on sender reputation, inbox placement, email performance and ROI. By identifying when records become inactive, you can easily maintain and hone in on an actively engaged audience in your smart list builds.  There are a few key steps to identify and manage inactive subscribers in Marketo: Define Activity Metrics: Determine what constitutes "activity" based on business goals. Consider metrics like opt-in date, age of record, last opened/clicked email, last time filled out a form, last time visited web page and/or last event success. A combination of these should create what you would define as an inactive record. Define Recency: Establish time-based constraints for measuring inactivity. I have struggled to find the answer in the community so asking a question that's probably been asked before (no doubt).We have a pretty simple email campaign that ran for the first time today.1. Send email 1 to a list of people2. Wait Step 1 week3. Send email 2 to everyone who got email 1 but didn't open There is a subset of people who were sent the email that need to be removed from the flow. They should not receive the second email next week.I've done this before but cannot remember the process for safely doing this removal. So far I have created a smart list of the people we need to take out of the flow. Can anyone spell out the steps? Hi all,   As the title suggests, I would like a functionality that will allow users to submit a form referring a new person. When the form is submitted, a new record will be created within Marketo. Ideally I would like to do this without the use of JavaScript hacks (ideally I would prefer a webhook). I've searched, but I can't find any topics specifically covering this (I don't need to do anything more complicated than simply submitting a form that creates a new record (referee) and updates an existing one (referrer)).
