Adobe Marketo Engage

I am not fluent in JS, but was trying to create an embed script to put a form on an outside page, while also allowing the CTA to be changed, as well as re-directing the thank you page based on the URL where the form was embedded. Hello There, Need your expert opinion. There are 30 different programs (list import, web content and email newsletter). I stored member of 30 programs in a static or smart list, but not able to populate "Acquired by" field. Is there any way where bulk members of program can be stored and segregate this 'Acquired by' field? 

Hello - I wanted to see if anyone knew of any limitations to using GIFs in Marketo emails? I had uploaded a GIF in the Design Studio and uploaded the image to the email. I was able to view the GIF just fine on a MAC, but was unable to see it on a PC. Thanks, Matt

Hi all! I understand that the sync between Marketo and Salesforce is bidirectional. I am trying to understand if a lead is created in SFDC, will that sync back to Marketo as a new person? (Assuming that record does not already exist in the Marketo database and that the program in Marketo is synced to SFDC Program) OR Will the lead fail/skip to sync over because that lead does not already exist in the Marketo Database? Simply, if a lead does not exist in the Marketo Database but they do exist in Salesforce, will they be created as a new person in Marketo?

We are having an issuewhen someone clicks a link in an email, it logs the clicked activity twice in the activity log. This is inflating clicked metrics and causing double, click scores to occur. I have checked for any other campaigns that could be causing the click to be recorded twice but there are no other clicked triggers that are influencing this. We did a test and found that only emails sent to Outlook are getting the double click logged. Was curious if anyone else has experienced this issue? TIA

I am trying to create a velocity script that will look at the Opportunity and the Opportunity Role in order to create a signature from the Opportunity Role. We have tried (we think!) everything at this point but cannot figure out why our Marketo and Facebook Leads ads is not connecting and syncing form fills back to marketo.   We are running a Facebook Ads campaign with a lead form for a downloadable asset. If working correctly, the form would trigger a marketo email in a smart campaign the the 'Fills out Facebook Lead Ads Form'. However our form name is not populating there. (Campaign can be activated if the trigger 'contains' the form name but no data is syncing and cannot be activated if the trigger 'is' exactly the form name')   We have run test leads on our Facebook ad and they are not syncing into our database at all.  We have the API set up in launch point under my facebook account, which also is an admin in facebook ads, facebook page, and facebook leads in business settings. Our facebook CRM connection to marketo appears to be working and is also connected in the leads integration section.    Does anyone h

Hi everyone,As far as I know, there should be a URL parameter included in our thankYouURL. I have seen this URL parameter appear in our thankYouURL from time to time, but it does not always show up.Are there any specific requirements that need to be fulfilled for an aliId to be added to the thankYouURL? For example:Does the form need to be on a Marketo landing page?Does the form need to be on an external landing page?Will the aliId only appear if there is no _mkto_trk cookie present?Does the ThankYouPage URL need to be on an external page?Etc.Do you know more about this?In the end, I want to extract the aliId from the ThankYouPageURL using JavaScript. Who among us hasn’t looked up a Lead or Contact in SFDC while checking the corresponding person in Marketo? Ridiculously common for me, and even if it’s not exactly hard, there’s no one-click way to do it. Until now.   Just go to the SFDC Bookmarklet Maker and enter your SFDC “My Domain” in the top field:   The checkbox means each SFDC Lead/Contact opens in a new tab, instead of having a single SFDC tab that gets continually replaced (the default).   You can optionally change the title of the bookmarklet before dragging it. Click the pencil (🖉) to edit and the check (✓) to save:   Then drag the link to your Bookmarks bar:   Presto! Now, whenever you’re viewing a record in the Marketo Lead UI, clicking the bookmarklet takes you to the corresponding SFDC record.   Required: SFDC ID on your custom tab There is one prerequisite: the SFDC ID field needs to be somewhere on your Custom tab (the exact position doesn’t matter). We are planning to do a Landing Page Test Group testing out 2 versions of a landing page, from my understanding the URL will be the URL of the first landing page in the test group and once someone accesses the link they will be shown 1 of the 2 versions of the landing page at random. I am wondering if we could still use utm parameters like any other link for the test group URLs and that cause any issues for the A/B testing. Mostly using the utm parameters to track promo channel.

We added the LinkedIn Insights Tag to our Thank You LP Templates hoping to track the conversions from LinkedIn and following their instructions to add it to the footer right before the closing <body> tag. We have been testing but the conversion isn't registering in LinkedIn. Has anyone else experienced this issue or could provide some options we can do so we can track the LinkedIn conversion on the thank you page?

Hi there, We currently send email alerts to the account owner in sfdc when someone fills out a form. Is there a way to send alerts to another type of individual in SFDC? In this case we want alerts to go to Client Executives...   

Is there a way to route a form fill to a specific thank you page based on the URL where the form lives? We are hosting our landing pages on the CMS and would like to prevent the creation of multiple forms.

I have built a  master template that is designed to accommodate all of our automation and campaign needs. I am having an issue where the text attribute for approximately 40% of the CTAs are not appearing when I send a test to my @outlook.com email address (as in it's literally just a blank CTA). This only seems to be a problem with outlook.com. The Outlook app, mobile, etc, all appear as intended. Has anyone experienced anything similar or know of a solution to fix this? For simplicity, I have removed all the modules in the template except two - the first shows the CTA text as intended and the second doesn't when a test is sent. I have left the meta data in for the other modules in so those can be ignored. I would attach an image showing the exact issue but there doesn't appear to be the option to do that. Any feedback/help would be appreciated. It's hard to pinpoint what the issue is when it works fine in other email clients and mobile. Thanks in advance.

Hi all,I have an issue with adding a variable to landing page. Currently looking to add a variable to allow a user to add a 3rd party form via adding some 3rd party embed code.I either have a duplicate ID or No ID variable declared. Recently I checked Email Performance Report 12 hours after scheduling of a campaign. It was delivered to X no of persons. Then I checked the Stats Smart list in my campaigns for delivered people. There the no of people showing were 30 less than Email performance report. What could be the possible reason for difference in stats?

So, not so much a question as a curiosity/possible warning.I had a built-out email, and I was editing the source code to be able to add a class="mktNoTrack" tag to a text link module since I've found that leaving the tracking enabled breaks phone links in Gmail. . .. anyway. I received a validator error, and I exited out to go back in and resolve.I got a white screen with the Marketo logo in the upper right and then when it brought me back to my email it had reverted to the original template I used.I "unapproved" the draft but re-editing still shows me the original template I started with and not my built-out email. Was a relatively simple email so not the end of the world - but thought I'd pass it along. Is it worth submitting a bug report to Marketo? ADDITIONAL INFO: Now when I go to edit the email, the modules are not editable. They're there in the back-end code, but on the front-end it's like a static image. . .. guess I'll start over?

Please explain the difference between promotional and transactional/operational emails with any suitable example.

Hi Community, We are a financial firm with the requirement to store all emails sent externally to our database. We are pulling them via API with no issue, with one exception: we're unable to pull down A/B tests because of the way the program executes on the email send. I know this is a known issue and I've seen threads that detail how you can see in the Get Leads Activities Endpoint, by filtering in the Send Email activity, whether a lead was involved in the test or received the winning email via the appended .Subject Line Test, but I need to be able to determine which leads received test A, which received test B, and which received the winner to satisfy our compliance requirement. Is anyone else facing anything similar or know of a workaround for this issue? Unfortunately it's not enough for us to even be able to save both versions of the test, unless we can pinpoint the recipients of each version. TIA!!

I've created a Landing page template and linked CSS file to it. During development and testing I have uploaded using "replace" option several version of the CSS file and it worked great. Until yesterday. Any new updates to the CSS file are not shown. I've tried to delete and re-upload CSS file and it is still showing the previous styles and not the new ones. I know that I could rename CSS file and upload it but I already have several LPs in production mode and I don't want to make total mess with the code. So is it a bug or a caching issue? Anyone have any idea how to solve this?
