Adobe Marketo Engage

Hi Community, Our instance currently has a uni-directional sync between Salesforce and Marketo. Sync is enabled from Salesforce to Marketo.In the Marketo database, we have two partitions (Default & XYZ). Earlier XYZ was the Initial partition but now we have changed the assignment rule to the Default partition. Now the issue is that the default partition has n number of Leads whereas the same records are present in XYZ partition as Contacts (Synced to Marketo from Salesforce).We are unable to merge these records as we don't have Marketo to Salesforce Sync active & it gives an error (Merge failure, unable to perform merge operation in natively-synced CRM error in Marketo).'We checked Salesforce too & there are no duplicates there, just Contacts. We are looking to resolve this issue without losing activity details. Any ideas on how to proceed?

Hello,   Can someone explain the logic behind this Marketo Boolean Field / Activity log behaviour.   Depending on what changes the value of the field (form fill or smart campaign) for the very first time to [true] the Activity log will show different “Previous Values”.   If value is set to [true] via    1) A form fill (Field Type: Checkbox) … then activity log will state that value was changed “from [null] to [true]” 2) A Smart Campaign with flow step “Change Data Value” to “true” … then activity log will state that value was changed “from [false] to [true]”   Why is that?   I currently have a triggered SC: Data value changes on the boolean field with 2 constraints:   1) New value: true 2) Previous value: false   The different behaviour has caused problems since the form fills does not result in the triggered SC being fired. It’s probably safe to just remove constraint 2 since it seems redundant but I just want to be sure and understand what

I'm receiving an error message when trying to edit emails saying "Cannot Load Email." This is happening in both Chrome and Edge for the last few days. Anyone else experiencing this?

Hello,Is there a way to use Dynamic Chat to identify the user by getting them to enter their email address in a dialogue? This would be in a scenario where the browser has already been cookied as a different user.e.g. Visitor is Tom tom@gmail.com marketo ID 101Browser is cookied as Mary mary@gmail.com marketo ID 202My concern is that asking them to enter their email address via 'info capture' will simply overwrite the stored email address of the already cookied user... i.e. instead of resetting the munchkin to match the new visitor tom@gmail.com, it will change user 202's email address to tom@gmail.com and then use the data on Mary's profile for the rest of the conversation e.g. Hi Mary!Thanks, Tom

 Is there a way to create a report or smart list showing all records who are opted-in in a specific timeframe? I need to find numbers for Q1, Q2, Q3, and Q4 of 2023. For clarification, this is not for new people added or opted in in the timeframe. Hey all! As mentioned in the subject line, it seems the email address filter is failing to find people in the database. Smartcamapign filters are: Email Address is "person1@abc.com or person2@abc.com", then change program status to attended However, when I go to schedule I can see only one person qualifies for the smart campaign despite both being in Marketo database when I search through all people with those exact email addresses. Any ideas whats going on here? PS: These people are not blocklisted, unsubscribed, and have not hit com limits

My Marketo and Dynamics 365 are integrated. Everything is synched. But the emails that are sent through Marketo are not seen against any contact record in Dynamics365. We want this, puch closed activities like emails sent  to show without Marketo Sales Insight

We are developing an email nurture strategy that is segmented across the funnel by lead stage and part of the concern is not sending out emails on the same days between marketing in Marketo and our SDR team via Salesloft (soon to be Clari's Groove). I'm wondering if anyone has figured out a way to stagger emails from Marketo and another SDR contacting tool? 

I am trying to use the first name token in my emails but have a custom script that eliminates the greeting when the first name of the record is not known. how would that custom script be written?

I've got a request to create a co-branded landing page. However, only 1 of our brands is in Marketo, so if we create a field for the user to choose either brand, we would not want the non-Marketo brand to enter Marketo. Is there a way to create a form that basically serves as a static list where we can still receive a notification in Marketo when the form is filled out so that the team can manually assign leads based on which brand the user selects, but it doesn't create new leads in Marketo? 

So I have a custom list (account_cList).I want it to check if ${account_cList.get(0).productType} has one of the qualifying (integer) values:1001, 1002, 1003, 1004, 1009, 1010, 1011, 1012, 1027, 1028, 1200, 1201, 1202, 1203, 1204, 1205, 1210, 1211, 1213, 1214, 1215Next, I want to look at ${account_cList.get(0).openDate} (date) and see if that date is in the last 7 days and if it has a value there, I want to take ${account_cList.get(0).autoMake} and ${account_cList.get(0).autoModel} and convert them to title case (they are all caps by default).  If there is a value in both or either, i want it to just show that. if there is a value in neither of those fields, I want it to default to "new ride".I am only able to get it to show the default (new ride), even when there are qualifying people who should have the make and model display a value. Hi does anyone know how we can find out the location of the server dedicated to our marketo data? We are going through a GDPR compliance initiative and this is a data point they need.

I have a boolean field that is being updated to true by a smart campaign in marketo and then about an hour later it is being flipped to false  with the reasoning of "Synched from salesforce.com". I checked and the field does not appear in any automations in SFDC and I enabled field tracking history and there are no documented updates in SFDC on the days that marketo shows a synced update coming from SFDC. This led me to believe that the sync updating the field to true is not making it into SFDC and then SFDC is just pushing back the original false value, making it look like a data update from SFDC. So this is where the question comes in:  The marketo integration user has read only permissions for this field. I suspect the original reasoning was that this field is not supposed to be updated in SFDC (it is a marketing field), but I am wondering if the unintended consequence of this is that the integration user cannot write the update to the field that is syncing
