Our email template uses a number of drop down menus - which are super helpful - however, a HEX code doesn't really mean much to a number of users. I haven't really spotted anything that allows me to have a displayed value (e.g. Orange) that, when selected, applies the relevant stored variable when selected (e.g. #F3632D).So, my question is - is it possible to set up display/store picklist values within the variables section on a module, and if so, how can it be done?

We use Marketo to run email campaigns and most of our users are enterprise users. Most of them have enterprise level systems like barracuda.com, microsoft defender etc. Now whenever these spam detection tools go in and check for spam/malicious links we get the following problems1. Click-through-rate goes up even when there are not actual clicks.2. Open-rates goes up even when there are not actual opens. Is it possible we add certain IP's we've identified during the audit to exclude from CTR/Opens? If so we'd like to keep updating this list regularly as well.

We recently noticed some unusual click activity in the Email Link Performance report and I'm trying to get to the bottom of it.  Like most company emails, we have our social media icons featured in the footer with links to each social channel.  When viewing the Link Performance Report, our Facebook icon is receiving a suspiciously high volume of clicks (usually over 60% of all email clicks).  Bot activity is removed from this screenshot, and I also opened a case with Marketo support but after investigating, they said it was working as expected.  The main reason I'm second guessing this is because we're not seeing similar to Twitter or LinkedIn.  It seems to be a similar pattern on every email I check.   Has anyone else experienced something similar? Thank you!  

Hi everyone, We have embedded Marketo form on AEM landing page & want to prefill the form once the user logs in to the website. We have implemented a custom solution provided by Sanford (https://blog.teknkl.com/vital-update-to-simpledto-form-pre-fill-js-for-new-versions-of-chrome-edge/). But the issue is if another user logs in using the same system, he sees the prefill data of the previous logged-in user.Also, the form fields don't populate when logged in from any other device. Is there a way to get the user data from Marketo based on the user's login email address or any unique identifier?

Hello everyone,I'm encountering an issue with the Marketo form on Safari. After submitting the form, when I reload the page and try to submit a new form, the browser displays a "Welcome back" box (see the attached image below). However, clicking the "Not you?" link doesn't work as expected; it simply reloads the page without displaying a new form. This problem only occurs on Safari, while everything functions correctly on Chrome and Firefox. Does anyone have any ideas or solutions for this issue?I would greatly appreciate any insights or solutions you might have regarding this problem. Hello, I'm syncing an object over from salesforce (AccountContactRelation) into Marketo. I was able to get the object to sync from the contact record and the records seem to have flowed through. I was reading that the smart list options were limited for custom objects in the sense that you cannot pull a smart list on it itself, you can only add the 'Has Custom Object' filter and add constraints, which is fine. We can make do with that for segmentation. However, my understanding from How to Obtain Marketo Custom Object Data is that I can use the marketo API to pull this information. I'm using a call like {{base_url}}/rest/v1/customobjects/AccountContactRelationships.json?filterType=ContactId&filterValues=003Rj000005Dsz2IAC&fields=Id,ContactId,AccountIdto attempt tot retrieve the information, but it's returning an error that AccountContactRelationships cannot be found. We have a project underway that will require more content than the viewable portion of the page can display.  We already have the approach in place for our new website, but the team was wondering if something like this could be built into a Marketo guided landing page template.  Has anyone ever done this using guided landing pages?  Is it even possible to build this sort of functionality into a template?  If so, I'd love to see some examples.

Much of MOps is explaining why things that seemingly shouldn’t happen (a) clearly are and (b) with good reason.   Case in point: it’s possible for a Contact’s fields to stop updating from Salesforce ➞ Marketo and vice versa, while that Contact’s new campaign memberships continue to sync to Marketo!   Why? Because SFDC Sharing Rules, as shown here... … don’t pertain to the Campaign Member object, which as you probably know is the junction object/cross-reference between Contacts and Campaigns.   This can lead to undue panic, where you might worry Marketo doesn’t have access to SFDC fields, or Last Modified Date is out of whack, or other wrong turns.   If you right-click and force Sync to SFDC in these cases, you’ll see an error in the Activity Log about being unable to reach a previously visible sObject, while Added to SFDC Campaign comes through fine. Hi everyone, I'm working through a challenge with our Marketo event registration forms and would appreciate some guidance.Our business partners want the ability to register clients on their behalf and/or the ability for registrants to add guests, then later pull a full registration list with all registrants. We’ve run into an issue where a partner enters their own email address but fills out the guest’s name and phone number, causing the form submission to update their existing record instead of creating a new one for the guest. Here’s an example of what our form would potentially look like: -- First Name:Last Name: Phone Number:Email:  + Add Guests Guest First Name:Guest Last Name:Guest Phone Number:Guest Email Address:+ Add Another Guest  -- Currently, I pull registration lists using a Smart List > Filled Out Form filter, but this approach wouldn't capture guest details accurately because the guest fields aren't the prima

I have a set of Tokens containing CONTRACT NUMBERS and I'm trying to get the lead's Contract Number to simply display for one of them, but I keep getting a blank display in the email test. I tried setting a variable and assigning it the first Contract Number value. I then, wanted to check if the field is blank, and if so show nothing, then if the field contains data, i wanted the value to display. I'm not sure if there are errors with my syntax structure as this my first time writing this script. I have an issue where a group of leads made their way through a trigger campaign months ago with the flow step to request campaign for a campaign that was not active. If I activate the requested campaign, will all of the leads who had previously gone through the request campaign workflow instantly be moved into the campaign requested or will they have to be put through again?

Hello,I would like to know if there is a way for a single Person in Marketo to create multiple Leads in SFDC.Our sales organization uses SFDC CRM's Lead object not on a "per customer (person)" basis, but rather on a "per inquiry (submission)" basis.This means that whenever a form is submitted in Marketo, we need to create a new Lead in SFDC for each inquiry.For example, if a person with the email address aaa@abc.com submits the following inquiries:1) February 27 at 10:00 AM – Submitted a form inquiring about [Product A]2) February 27 at 10:03 AM – Submitted a form inquiring about [Service B]In Marketo, these form submissions will update the same Person record (aaa@abc.com).However, in SFDC, each submission needs to create a separate Lead record (Lead duplication by email is allowed in SFDC).Additionally, we are fine with the 'SFDC Lead ID' value stored in Marketo’s Person record continuously updating to the latest created Lead ID.Could you confirm the best way to configure Marketo so t

I've been tasked with something that's a bit out of my depth. Here's a quick rundown of the process I'm supposed to enact:1. Person gets email with a link to fill out a Gravity Form on our own website2. Marketo sends data about the person (including their email address and some other attributes) to the form3. The form sees this info coming and hides any fields that are prefilled from the form4. Person fills out any missing info and hits "Apply" button. Sees "Thanks for applying" messageIn an ideal situation, Marketo will have all of the data needed by the form and upon clicking the email link, theyn will just see a "thanks for applying" message and be done with it. At first I thought, "I can just append the data to the URL generated when they click the link" but I'm definitely not going to do that with someone's email address. Friday Question #2 - possibly related to my first question about RCM & Success Path Analyzer.   When searching for Opportunities in the Opportunity Influence Analyzer (I'm setting up a few reports to show leadership as examples of how helpful this report can be in showing Marketing influence on Closed/Won Opps), it appears that there are Opportunities missing in the list after selecting an Account to review (the time frame is "All Time").   I'm using MS Dynamics alongside the report to check I'm pulling the right information and here are the issues I'm noticing:   There are multiple versions of the same Account despite there only being one showing in MS Dynamics (they each have different IDs shown at the end of the name - I'm assuming Marketo is still seeing a deactivated Account?) Using an example Account, when I select the correct one (verified by said ID in MS Dynamics), I get an on-page popup that tells me there were no activities on the account during the selec

We are noticing that in our Sync Field Details, where we check off the CRM fields to sync, the fields that were checked are now unchecked. What can trigger this to happen? This is a recurring issue and I don't know how to fix this. We have to keep checking manually that the fields are still checked and syncing.    CRM is Dynamics if that matters.

Hello my Community Pals!   I'm currently doing some data cleanup for records that don't have a Microsoft Type and there are plenty that have run through a previous Marketo Smart Campaign driving records into a MS Dynamics campaign that has failed due to an uncaught exception. I'm using a Batch Campaign to push them over now and get this error for every record in the campaign:   The campaign exists in MS Dynamics and there are other members of the related program that synced over via the related Smart Campaign so I don't understand what the issue is here.    Is it because I'm trying to update via the Batch Campaign? When I search the error online, the AI overview tells me a few things: ...because the "Add to Microsoft Campaign" feature is currently not active or is not configured properly for batch operations; essentially, you can't add people to a Microsoft Dynamics campaign using a batch process in your current setup. I have a WordPress website w/ embedded Marketo forms. We use them for general contact or registration to webinars, events, etc. When someone registers for a webinar, I am trying to find a solution that Marketo (or WP) would create a dynamic or tokenized return URL that send them back to the WP success page where their video will be embedded. Currently it's not dynamic, so anyone could easily figure out how to bypass registration for any webinar. Has anyone here been able to get success urls to be dynamic and active in WP so I can keep these webinars behind a wall? A 2nd ask would be if there is any way to make them expire after a certain amount of views or days.  Thanks in advance! 

I’m looking for the best way to tag individual contacts based on their interests. Specifically, if a contact engages with content related to a specific product—such as clicking on an email about our postcard product or filling out a form related to it—I’d like to automatically tag them with “Interested in Postcards.”I’d like to set this up for multiple products so we can better segment and personalize our marketing. What’s the best approach for implementing this in Marketo?

Does Stream 1 of an engagement program need transition rules if I want to send it to members of a smart list? From my research, I think the answer is no, but posing the question here just in case. From what I have read and seen on Marketo, transition rules in a stream of an engagement program need a "trigger", and "Member of Smart List" is not a trigger. So, I set up a SEPARATE smart campaign with these rules:Smart List: Member of Smart List = Name of Smart ListFlow: Add to Engagement Program; Stream: Stream 1 I want members to move to Stream 2 if they click a certain link in the email in Stream 1, so I added the trigger "Clicked Link in Email" and flow step "Change Engagement Program Stream to Stream 2" to the transition rules for Stream 2.  Please let me know if all of this is correct. Hello, I watched @SanfordWhiteman 's webinar on implementing Google reCAPTCHA V3 in Marketo and shared it with the web dev team for my client.
