Adobe Marketo Engage

Hi everyone,    In emails there are usually modules which are nearly the same but for the change you need two variables to change. Example a module with two columns: Image is aligned right and Text is aligned left.  - or -  Image is aligned left and Text is aligned right.  Basically it would be possible to just tell the module if the Image should be on the left or the right side. But the alignement of the text has to be changed as well. Do you have such cases? Do you always create two modules for this?  Or is there a clever way to ask for just one variable while it is handled in two places differently? Best regardsWolfram

I have created a Master template in Marketo. Earlier, I was able to approve the same.   Now, when I have added the new snippet section then I am not able to approve the draft.  I am getting this error. I removed the same section but still, did not get any success.   Any help would be appreciated!

Hi everyone,For upcoming trade shows, we typically attempt to drive people to either our events web page, or to an event Marketo LP where we list a particular trade show we will exhibit at. Our goal is to fill up our sales teams' schedules with meetings, so we ask prospects if they would like to schedule time with one of our reps at that event. Does anyone have any recommendations for a scheduling tool that integrates with Marketo, and, possibly in our forms? The hope is once someone checks the box that that want to schedule a meeting, the available times populate and the person can make a selection.Thanks for your suggestions,Dave

I have a form that operates as an interstitial before a member fills out an application. This form allows me to deliver someone to the product they would be interested in applying for. This is all fine and dandy, except the user must return to the same form to check their application status... not the end of the world, but want to streamline it... the thought was using the custom HTML for known visitors. I know this isn't perfect as just because you are known, doesn't mean you've already applied for the product.   My challenge is that when I set up the HTML it gives the options for the button and for the text "not me" to reset. I was playing with it to where I could say "apply" and that would use the "not me" link and the button would allow for the status check... the problem is it feels backward... I would rather the button be "apply" but I can't figure out how to get the button to reload the form like the "not me" text link does. I'm guessing there is some java and coding to fix

I have a situation where we are executing some code on pages that have Marketo forms. This particular piece of code handles a few things. One it takes care of multiple Marketo forms on the same page but it also pushes data, we've designated in our CMS, to the dataLayer along with the form render on a successful submission of the form. Now, this code, which is being executed through Google Tag Manager, currently uses an element visibility trigger. It looks for the mktForm class. When that class is present the code executes. The problem is that this code may execute before we're done retrieving the Marketo form and fully rendering it. This ends up popping an error message. What I am thinking would solve this issue is instead of triggering the code with a element visibility trigger it would be best to wait until the form is fully rendered. This probably needs some JS(or maybe not) to see if this 'fully rendered' condition exists but I not sure how to do this. Any help would be greatly app

We are seeing a bunch of different leads from the same company (50+) "open" and "click" almost every email we send them. This is breaking lead scoring as all leads are being sent to the inside sales team to investigate.Curious if this is something anyone's seen before? We are baffled. Hello.   I am attempting to create a bulk program member extract job using the updatedAt filter but am receiving a 1003 error. "errors": [ { "code": "1003", "message": "filter not specified" } I have little experience with APIs and need some help on what this error is telling me. Hi everyone,    I like to check the email address for specific domains using velocity/email scripting. But for some reasons it is not working for me. Attempt 1 - Using contains   #set($mail = "wolfram.lotz@xy-c.com") $mail.contains("xy-c.com")   this works fine   #set($mail= "{{lead.Email Address}}") $mail.contains("xy-c.com") $mail   contains is always false but $mail output shows the correct domain   Attempt 1 - Using split (to check later for equal)   #set($mail = "wolfram.lotz@xy-c.com") #set($domain= $mail.split("@")) $domain[1]   This works fine. Domain is shown correct.      #set($mail = "{{lead.Email Address:default=edit me}}") #set($address= $mail.split("@")) $address[0]    This split does not work. Hi All,We currently don't have our SFDC and marketo synced, but someone has come up with this idea and want me to investigate if it will be possible once the 2 are integrated. (If they were synced I'd just test this out)If I created a smart campaign where the trigger is opportunity is updated and flow step is Send Email. Is the email sent to the contact attached to the opportunity object in SFDC?     Thanks so much!!  

I have updated the custom css file on my form but even in preview mode the changes to the custom css is not shown. The draft is already approved and if I create a new draft and edit my custom css I can see my changes in there.    Is it something related to cache ? If so, is there a way to clear cache in Marketo form?   Thanks in advance, Bata

Hi everyone,  I like to use a velocity macro within an guided email template. I alreay found out that it is possible to add the macro on template level within the body and that it is not possible to change (or add) the macro in the code editor of the specific email asset.    Is anybody of you familar with using VTL macros in email templates? Ar there things to consider? Gos, no-goes or best practices?    Or are there any restrictions that you would absolutely advise to not use macros in templates?

One of our sales teams is requesting we add Marketo email activity to the opportunity object - is this possible? Does anyone have experience with this?   Activity is only registering on the lead and contact object, not the opportunity object. Is this a permission set managed in Salesforce/Marketo Sync User, and if so, does anyone know what specifically needs to be updated in order to get this to work? Thanks!

In Marketo, we use Smart Lists for Program Entry criteria. At each step of our journey, we update their program status (step 1, 2, 3, etc)While testing, we want to be able to remove a member from the campaign and allow them to requalify for the campaign to test with them again. The only way I have found to do this is to clone the entry criteria, which allows them to qualify again. Is there a way to requalify these records without cloning/creating new smart lists? There is nothing in these smart lists that would exclude these people from reentry, and the campaign allows reentry as well.

Currently I'm testing the integration of SurveyMonkey with Marketo. One of the things I would like to do is to push data from Marketo of a lead to SurveyMonkey. For example the first name. I have created a custom variable in SurveyMonkey. In the URL of the collector the following was added: &FirstName=[FirstName_value] I replaced the last value by a Marketo token: &FirstName={{lead.First Name}}   While testing by sending an email with URL in it through Marketo, the After testing the URL in a Marketo email, the first name is come through in SurveyMonkey. The weird thing is that the Marketo ID isn’t logged in SurveyMonkey after this change. So no data can be send from SurveyMonkey to Marketo.   Does anyone has experience with this and maybe a solution or hint?   So I am wondering. How can I ever analyse the results in relation to a person?

Hi, I am new at this so, I have created my first Engagement Program, with a couple of streams and the casts are done on Mondays and Wednesdays. The program is currently running, so my question is: I I change the cadence to just Mondays, will I need to adjust the first cast day as well, or can I change the cadence directly without repercussions?   Thanks!

The first thing I teach in Velocity classes is that VTL (Velocity Template Language) is essentially a simpler way to write Java, and totally unrelated to JavaScript. VTL frees you from many Java concerns. You don’t need a main method. You don’t need to think as much about classes and objects (though you’ll be a better developer if you do). And, key to any template language, you don’t need print: if it’s not inside a #directive() it’s assumed to be output.[1] VTL is deliberately forgiving of runtime errors, prioritizing showing some output to the end user over failing completely. I have a Marketo form which is set up to go to a thank you page url e.g. /thank-you/ to track our conversions. However I notice when the form is HTML embedded as a pop up, it doesn't go to the thank you page url (even though the page does go to the thank you page it's just that the url stays the same).    Only if I have the form HTML embedded on the page, does it go to the thank you page with the url . Is there a way to have the pop up HTML embedded form go to the thank you page with the url?   I have also contacted Leadpages and they said to contact Marketo.

Hello everyone, We added the munchkin code to external website properly but webpage visits data is not true. There are lots of missing visitors. Website holder sends us approximately 1500 webpage visit data via GTM but when we checked Marketo Web Page Activity this count is 200. What are we missing?   How can we solve this problem?

Dear Community Members, This is an update relevant for customers using Marketo Sales Insight on MS Dynamics integration with Marketo, only those who are using the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM Online version.   Microsoft is retiring OData V2.0 by April 2023.     Marketo Sales Insight , V2.0.0.25 release onwards, is already compatible with OData v4.0.
