Adobe Marketo Engage

In the March 2023 release, Marketo Engage will be changing several values used to populate the Location/Country field at multiple sections in Web Personalization and Predictive Content Modules. These sections include Segment Creation Page, Organizations List Page, Leads List Page, Analytics – Visitors List Page, User Settings – Edit Regions Page, Content Analytics – Analytics Page (in Predictive Content).   What is changing? Several of the values used to populate the Location/Country field will be changed. Hello, I would like to create a landing page with a form where I would ask users to answer 4-5 questions. On that page, after completing the questions, there would be a CTA button that would read "Next Page" and the user would click that to go to a 2nd page with a form where they would answer additional questions. The reason I would be separating these into 2 pages is I would like to use the first page to capture basic information and the second page to ask more detailed and multiple questions. If the user drops off after the first page and does not complete the 2nd page, I will have at least captured the basic information on the first page.    I believe the easiest way to do this would be to create 2 separate landing pages, each with their own form, with the first page linking to the second page. But if there is an easier way to do this, please let me know. Thank you. 

Hello,I am trying to change my salesforce credentials to point to a different salesforce instance but I keep getting this message: "switching salesforce orgs not allowed".Is there any way to change salesforce orgs or do I need to setup a new Marketo instance completely?Thanks

      Your duplicate list becoming ever more daunting? Stop the rot by learning how to build a zap in Zapier that will merge duplicate leads as soon as they are created according to custom rules you specify.   Of course, the optimum approach to dealing with duplicates is to address the root causes that are causing duplicates to be created. Wondering if anyone can shed a little more light please on a sync error we are receiving.  We are currently implementing Marketo and although I have administered the platform at previous companies, I've not seen this error which doesn't seem to be very clear so hoping someone can help:   Error Type is Job_Level and Error Details soqlBatchQuery failed - INVALID_FIELD: ActivityDateTime, CreatedDate, Description, Id, IsAllDayEvent,  ^ERROR at Row:1:Column:53 No such column 'Description' on entity 'Event'.  If you are attempting to use a custom field, be sure to append the '__c' after the custom field name. Please reference your WSDL or the describe call for the appropriate names."   We don't have a 'Job_Level' field on the Event object and, not sure why is says the fields are invalid   Any help would be appreciated, thank you.    

Hi everyone,   When sending a sample, our list of previous recipients now has a long list of people who are no longer with the company and would never receive test emails again.  Is there a way to remove them from this list?   Thanks, Heather

Hoping to get an explanation on how to set up an event registration cap in Marketo using a program token. I have read some threads about using a webhook, but I know there should be an easier way to set it up in Marketo. Any help with the flows etc would be appreciated 🙂 

I have a customer token, {{my.SupportCase_CreatedDate}}, that displays as yyyy-M-d H:m:s (example: 2023-01-05 12:26:14) when I would rather it display as MMMM d, yyyy (example: January 5, 2023).   I'm new to Marketo and scripting so any help would be greatly appreciated.     

Hello,   For our weekly email sends, our team clones the previous email asset. So each "new" email is a clone of a clone of a clone. I noticed that when I created a new module and added it to the template we use for testing code changes, it worked perfectly. The email asset I use to view any changes to our "testing template" is a single original email--not a clone of a clone. After testing the changes in our "testing template," we make the update to our "master email templates".   However, after updating our master email template and pulling the new module into a clone of a clone of a clone (times 40 emails or so) that uses that master template, the module did not work as intended. A previous fix I had applied to the hero image to ensure it expanded the full width of a mobile device in the Outlook app did not work, and there was another weird issue where the number and headline text were aligning center instead of staying left-aligned as shown below:   Correct heade

Hello, This may be a really dumb question and maybe I am missing something obvious - but is there any way attribute actions through date of activity to an email itself? I know you can set Date of Activity on things, but that's based off the present date in the sense of "Date of Activity = Last 7 Days" is 7 days before the current date.  Is there any way or workaround that'd you be able to do something like "Date of Activity = Last 7 Days Since Email x was Delivered?

Is it possible to make a fieldset required? That is, I know I can make each field within a fieldset required, but to do so requires making every field required. I would like to make it so that at least one of the fields is selected before the person can go on and click the Submit button.Thanks in advance for your help!Laura

We have blocked a domain via a javascript that is still getting into our Marketo database. We cannot replicate the behavior because each and every time we have tried to submit the same form using any email address that they submitted we receive an error that we cannot submit with this domain.So behavior is:Form submits are getting through to the database in Marketo and they are a combination of numbers @qq.com QQ.com has been blocked via javascript and attempts on our part to submit the form using one of the email addresses that made it through are blocked.Help please + thank you!

We had a customer complain they haven't received any of our marketing emails so I dug into their record in Marketo and found they were marked Email Invalid and the reason was "their account doesn't exist". There is no record in their activity log though that they were marked invalid. Does anyone have an explanation for this? Or if I'm okay to uncheck the box if that email is in fact valid?

Hi all, We've recently discovered that we have an Old Marketo instance that is not active for few years, we found it while trying to create a new API user that disappeared from the user base after creation in the current instance, and after contacting the Marketo support they've indicated that it happened due to this user being in the old instance as well...   The old instance is not connected to any programs or flows in the current instance but there are leads and records there that might be relevant to us - has anyone dealt with such thing before? should we keep or delete the old instance after exporting the data?   We're trying to figure out the best practice in this case without creating issues in the current instance or the CRM sync   Thank you in advance!

Hi all!I wanted to know by default does Marketo have any retry mechanism for the soft bounced as well as the hard bounced emails. I am aware that we can have a bounce management program created but wanted to be aware if Marketo has some default retry mechanism in place?

Hey y'all,    On24 just recently sunset their Marketo to On24 Event Partner Integration at the end of 2022. Per their directions we have set up our new On24API and proved it worked successfully, but  I just noticed that our {{member.webinar.url}} token is no longer functioning in our confirmation or reminder emails. Is anyone else having this issue, or any problems similar to this?    Thanks,

Hello,   For Dynamic Chat, what options do we have available when it comes to debugging. While testing the chat, I have encountered multiple instances where the chat bot doesn't appear and I get the message "No Playbooks Available" in my console. This message usually appears at a time when I would expect it to load a particular dialogue, and was wondering if there was an easy way to debug and see the attributes Dynamic Chat is processing.   Thank You

Hello all We're just implemented Marketo, and wanted to make good use of the Marketo SEO dashboard (powered by SEMRush).  Our CMS is Storyblok  - a headless CMS (we've moved over from Wordpress). It however seems like Marketo is trying to read our CMS like it would read Wordpress. This is what the page metrics report for any page on the site: - No keyphrase set for the page - Page has no H1 tag - H1 has no keyphrase - H2 has no keywords And so on. And the pages in question do have them. Marketo SEO is basically not reading it right, and Marketo support isn't able to decipher it. So just want to check if anyone else is using Marketo SEO successfully with Storyblok. If so, did you face similar issues? 

Hello everyone   Is there a way to add other fields when creating a new Salesforce campaign through a Marketo program?   To give you more context: we create a new Salesforce campaign for each Marketo program by using the Setup > SFDC Campaign Sync > Create New. We can change Name and Description, as on this image:     But now, to improve our Salesforce reports, we're adding new fields in the campaign object on SFDC (region, vertical, team etc.). And we want to be able to fill these fields in Marketo, so our Marketing team doesn't have to go to two different platforms every time.   Is there a way to add more fields to this modal?
