Hi Team I have a requirement, where I will hit external api and get response and the response I will show in tabular format. Can I have excel download button to download this tabular format exactly. Any inputs or advise. Please guide me. 

Hi,   I have created DITA topics as well as DITA map for 100+ articles.I created different folder for each language and under each language folder i am having nearly 10-15 DITA topics as well as DITA maps. Take the example of below structure.   But whenever I am adding article5 topic path as xref  in article1 topic then after AEM site generation it is creating article 5 page under mySite/ca/article1 along with article1 page. So basically whenever i am adding any DITA article path in any page as xref it is creating page for those also.   Anyone knows how we can restrict DITA from generating site page for the xref links ?

I have two dita-maps called map A and map B. map B contains few topic-references and it is being referred in map A using <map-ref href="/path/to/mapA"  processing-role="resource-only"> element. Although, after generating AEM SITE as output, the generated site toc doesn't contain the entries for topics which is referred in map B , but the AEM Page got generated for such topics as well.    We have a requirement that such topic-pages shouldn't get generated which has the processing-role attribute with value as "resource-only" either on <topic-ref> element or <map-ref> element.   I there any possible way to achieve this ? @divrajsingh

Hi, We have a requirement to migrate content from SDL to AEM guides. We have received the custom dita-ot and the xml files. For custom dita-ot, we have integrated the plugins with our aem dita-ot. We have uploaded the dita-ot zip file and the dita files in this path - apps/fmdita/dita_resources . Screenshots included in the attachment We have configured the custom profile in the below manner. When an author submits replies to a content reviewer via Review panel in XML Guides, is there a way to customize this such that the reviewer can receive the notification via email or in AEM Inbox notification page? For example, John is a content reviewer, and he makes a comment, and the author replies to this comment by putting in "@John" in the inbox, John should receive this message in his email and/or AEM Inbox notification. This facilitates collaborative review, bantering between the Author and the Reviewer. I guess this is a highly desirable feature to have for content reviews.Thanks,K 

One additional change that content users will observe with 3.8 XML Documentation build on baselines tab is few more labels with images. This was not there in previous build.      With the new release, content users can also apply labels on indirect references like images etc. using the 'Add Labels' option on the baselines tab. Earlier these labels were only limited to the direct references and it was difficult to choose the correct versions of images while creating the baseline using labels.    With this feature, all labels for a specific versions are shown on the baselines tab including those created by default workflows also. Refer the above screenshot and you will notice the labels as 1.0, 1.1 etc  on images. which are not manually created rather created by the 'DAM Metadata Writeback' workflow of AEM. 

There is a shortcut option in the web-editor toolbar to let author insert the special characters already. The same can be seen in screenshot below:     These list of characters is configurable here. We need to turn on the document states/workflow as described in the Use Document States in DDLC section of Document state | Adobe Experience Manager.We have followed the instructions in the V4.2 (UUID) Install and Configure instructions Enable Approval Workflow (pg 32-33). Are there any other missing configuration steps we need to perform to get the document states/workflow working? I can change the Document States correctly (Draft > In Review > Approved), but once in Approved state, AEM Guides does not prevent me from making additional edits to the topic and saving it. The system is NOT forcing me to create a new version before making changes as the instructions say it should. Hi Team,   We had tried putting both XML file and XSLT file into the same folder and in the source view of particular topic we had referred the XSLT file. It doesn't process the XSLT file in the AEM guides Web editor. Is there any approach to apply custom XSL in AEM guides Web editor (Author and Preview mode)?

Is there a way to see which topics in a map are "dirty" (when the last saved version doesn't match the last working version)? I looked all over the Map Dashboard and the various Manage options, but so far the only way I can see that is to open up each topic and look at the version number in the upper right corner of the editor page. Current version: AEM 6.5.21 and AEM Guides v4.6 In Guides v4.4, we were able to drag/drop topics around the map in the Author view. In Guides v4.6, if you drag/drop topics in the Map's author view, the topics just disappear from the map entirely. Is this the intended behavior? (The topics are visible within the author pane but disappear from the left panel map view and if you look at the Source view, the topics are gone. The topics then disappear again in the Author view after you return to that view, even if you save the map or save a new version.)I was able to drag/drop/move topics using the Layout view, but not in the Author view.If this is the intended behavior (and I cannot think of a single reason why you'd want content to disappear), what is the use case for Author view vs Layout view?

Hi everyone,I'm having trouble with the AEM installation. I follow the process of creating the two folders author and publish and renaming their installers. When I click normally, nothing happens, it creates the folder but it's empty. However, when I run it through the cmd, it seems to follow the installation, creates the same folder but this time with content, asks me to create a password and repeat it, then just that, it doesn't open a window as it should in the manuals, if I enter the localhost on the port it doesn't find it. Does anyone know what I can do? My Java version is 21.Thanks! =D

I have a user that as been added to AEM through AD integration.  They are in a group that has been assigned access to the dev instance as an author. Their name is not in the User Management Table in AEM Guides and I cannot add them. Further, I cannot seem to assign them rights to create topics and maps which is what I ultimately want to do. Any advice?

Currently, I use Adobe RoboHelp 2015 to distribute IT Disaster Recovery documentation. While I edit HTML files with Dreamweaver, the majority of the DR info is stored throughout 1000s of Word files stored in a network folder structure. The SMEs edit those Word info with the info they need to restore their system if there's been a disaster. I link all of those SME-edited Word files to my RoboHelp project - when the SME makes a change, the icon next to the linked Word file in RoboHelp changes its color from Green to Yellow so I know that it's time to re-publish the RoboHelp as a browser-based output.I have been seeing "AEM Guides" everywhere in Adobe marketing - just got the invite to the conference in Las Vegas! - but I don't understand what it is. I'm looking for some simple answers to what I hope are some simple questions. Specifically:-- Is AEM Guides a replacement for traditional Help Authoring Tools (HAT) like RoboHelp?-- What are the output options, meaning, could I use this

Using Native PDF in Guides in Cloud. I have page numbering working fine in footer.Bookmap has:   Frontmatter, renders to 5 pages   Body, renders to 10 pages   Backmatter. renders to 5 pagesI restart page numbering after Frontmatter, so on page 6. Paging in footer shows page 6 of 20, 7 of 20, etc.Last page shows page 15 of 20. Obviously, I don't want that because it looks like there are 5 pages missing. Native PDF is not resetting the total page count when the page number is reset. Is this a bug or is there something I need to do? 

In the Assets > Properties view, DITA content doesn't preview like it does for images. Should something be displaying here? And if not, it would be nice to get that preview working for DITA content.In the Assets view, when you click on a DITA file to preview it, the content doesn't scroll down even though a scrollbar is present. Only the top section of the content displays. Is that scrollbar supposed to be working?

In the settings of a template in Native PDF, AEM Guides Cloud there are a number of standard pages: TOC, Glossary, Citations, Empty Pages, Chapters & Topics.These are referred to by the bookmap in the following way:​​  <booklists>     <glossarylist></glossarylist>     <toc></toc></booklists> I want to enable a new page in the templates called "blankpage". It will be a plt file the same as the others and I want to refer to it in my map within the booklists tag as below:​<booklists>     <glossarylist></glossarylist>     <blankpage></blankpage>     <toc></toc></booklists> I understand that I need to customize Native PDF​. If a DITA map is re-translated, any saved baselines are lost for that language. (All saved source language baselines remain.) Is that the intended behavior? Shouldn't saved baselines remain available?

I am able to create a review task for a topic in AEM Guides, cloud. No email is sent to the reviewer that is listed in the project.No email is sent to the owner of the review task. How do I enable this in AEM Cloud?

What are the out-of-the-box audit trail features or capabilities available in AEM Guides and Assets? Specifically, in the context of an audit, what tools or features does Guides or Assets provide to track actions like authoring, editing, publishing and timestamps?  I'm aware that by opening an individual map or topic, I can view the version history to find this information. However, I'm looking for a way to generate a report or  use a feature that consolidates this data without having to open each file individually. Is there an out-of-the-box solution for this in AEM?  Additional context: I'm seeking info on features or capabilities to showcase AEM's out-of-the-box audit capabilities for demonstrating transparency to auditors. Specifically, I want to highlight how AEM can provide detailed info about content changes and user actions for compliance and control purposes. Thank you!

Hey fellas, I am exploring at a project which involves migration from Madcap Flare which is the current documentation platform to AEM Guides.I have not worked on a DITA based migration project before so would appreciate your inputs as to the pitfalls and things to consider. Also, has anyone worked on a migration project for technical documentation to AEM Guides from other CCMS solutions?Any blog reference, link would be highly appreciated! @divrajsingh, @prashantpa, @sschnelbach
