Document States and Workflows

We need to turn on the document states/workflow as described in the Use Document States in DDLC section of Document state | Adobe Experience Manager.

We have followed the instructions in the V4.2 (UUID) Install and Configure instructions Enable Approval Workflow (pg 32-33).

 

Are there any other missing configuration steps we need to perform to get the document states/workflow working? I can change the Document States correctly (Draft > In Review > Approved), but once in Approved state, AEM Guides does not prevent me from making additional edits to the topic and saving it. The system is NOT forcing me to create a new version before making changes as the instructions say it should. Moving the topic to the Done state also does not lock the file and force me to create a new version before making changes.

    @sschnelbach : as per note given on the page you pointed, you need to enable approval workflow - refer this document

    There are improvements in the newer versions - as you pointed that you ae still working with v4.2
