AEM Guides in Cloud Author Permissions not applied

I have a user that as been added to AEM through AD integration.  They are in a group that has been assigned access to the dev instance as an author.

 

Their name is not in the User Management Table in AEM Guides and I cannot add them. Further, I cannot seem to assign them rights to create topics and maps which is what I ultimately want to do.

 

Any advice?

Check if the "Authors" and "dam-users " groups are assigned to the user.
