Hello AEM Guides Community,I’m new to AEM Guides and working on creating an aggregated document that includes multiple languages in a single PDF output. My main document contains a front page (cover) and then multiple languages each with it's own translated TOC.I want the PDF to show:The front page first,Then for each language submap, a Table of Contents for just that submap,Followed by the actual content of that language submap.What is the recommended way to structure the map and customize the native PDF template to achieve this aggregated, multilingual document with per-submap TOCs?Are there best practices or example templates you can share?Thanks so much for your help!

When searching in AEM Guides (on-prem, v4.6, UUID) for a specific file name GUID, the result returns every instance that GUID is conref-ed to in addition to the master file we are searching for. Is there a way to separate the search results into a list of file names/titles using the search phrase AND then into a list of files where the search phrase appears within the content? For example, when searching within our repository for file name GUID-B2A00D10-2503-48FA-928C-8D84F08CBA0F, 400+ results appear because this was one of our master files that many other topics conref to. The existing filters do not allow for a separation of file name/GUID vs content within a file. Is that possibly a future feature? Can the filters be customized? (I saw an answer from 7/2/25 that mentioned filters may be customizable in version 5.1 or whatever the Q3 2025 release is going to be.)

I'm working on a JavaScript project in VS Code using the AEM Guides Extension framework. In the codebase, there's frequent usage of tcx, but VS Code keeps showing errors like "tcx is not defined" and doesn't provide any IntelliSense for it.How can I configure my project so that:VS Code recognizes tcx as a global object (or however it's defined in the framework)?IntelliSense works properly for tcx and its properties/methods?Any tips on setting up type definitions or project configuration to fix this would be greatly appreciated! 

We are not seeing any way to enter notes about new versions of images in the repository. Is there no way to track version changes to images and other non-DITA assets?

We are using Guides Version: 5.0.0.211 in AEM 6.5 with service pack 21. We want to add some custom filters in the guides editor. I've read the help on page templates and can see that we can hardcode a logo, other image, of background image into the design. I know that we can define text variables and display these on the page template. But what do we do if we have images that vary by publication, and we want to display one of those dynamic images on a location on the page? For example, a cover image of the product or additional symbols or logos specific to the publication. Is it possible to define an image variable that can be placed on the page layout design?  

DITA Specializations in Native PDF Publishing (Topics Disappear in PDF) We have one DITA specialization that appears to be properly configured in AEM Guides. I can insert it and use it in the XML Editor in topics and concepts. In previous AEM Guides versions, this specialization appeared in PDF outputs, but that may have been using FMPS before Native PDF Publishing was released. I don't recall if I ever tested it in the earlier versions of Native PDF Publishing. We abandoned this specialization because there was no easy way to format it for the AEM Sites output. However, we'd like to return to using this specialization (which is based on the PARML element) since DITA is designed for easy customization and future releases will make it easier to format the AEM Sites outputs. The specialization appears in the default DITA-OT PDF output. Hi community, A colleague of mine recently returned from the Adobe conference and shared that they spoke with several users who advocated against using content reuse. I attended the conference the year prior, and my experience was quite the opposite. I met many users who were using content reuse effectively and shared great success stories. So I wanted to bring the question here: Are there other organizations (especially in highly regulated or complex industries) effectively using content reuse in Adobe Experience Manager? Thanks in advance for your insights!

Hello - I am new to AEM Guides and I have encountered an error when publishing with conditions - Installed AEM Guides 4.4.0.40- Created a Map- Imported the dita file WritingWell.dita from https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-guides-learn/videos/output-generation/publishing-with-conditions and followed the instructions in applying conditions.  Encountered error: 

I have been struggling to identify an answer to this question via documentation or previous posts.  Our users are finding the behavior of this search box in Guides confusing / unhelpful in comparison to, say, the Assets search.   Is it possible to change/configure what is searched via a query within this search box specifically?  From testing, searches performed within this search box do not cover the range of properties or within the content that the Assets search does. Near as I can tell, this search is more limited to terms present in file names and/or titles.    However, users do not want to leave Guides to find what they need and then have to navigate back into Guides to work on it.  Ideally for our users, they would be able to search here and get hits within the DITA map/topic content. Note that I am familiar with the instructions at https://experienceleague.adobe.com/en/docs/experience-manager-guides/using/install-guide

Hello all,We have httpd.conf file added to the dispatcher codebase base and the changes are not updating through code pipeline.  All the files are updated through code pipeline except httpd.conf file. Please find below file updated dates, also the user rights also same as other files.  Please suggest if this required any additional configurations.  

One of our customer requirements is to construct a ‘Contact Information’ block of addresses on the back page.They don’t want to hardcode this in a table in a topic. We'll have a template with an empty, single row, table and we'd dynamically expand the table based on the required number of address blocks.They want to store each address block in a bookmeta/authorinformation/organizationinfo block and then to format this content and inject it into a cell per address.The number of address organizationinfo blocks will vary by publication, and the information in an organizationinfo block will vary.Because of this variability, using the provided method to create variables from this metadata does not seem to be ideal or efficient. Hi,In the documentation it mentions about JSON as one of the output presets, but I do not see JSON in the list of output presets. Is there any configuration needs to be modified to enable JSON output option? Also, is there an API to get the JSON response of the output?Thanks!

When i insert a custom snippet into Guides editor and tried to click the Undo button from Menu it is not working. But it is working for OOTB snippet and snippet having only one tag. Guides allows the ability to view the differences between versions of the same topic. In this view there are red and green bars indicating additions and deletions. They are displayed side by side in the left margin in the location the change was made.In Native PDF you can do this too, and there are OOTB templates with styles to display the bars. However, the green bar, unlike in the Guides editor, always overwrites the red bar. The only styles that I see for this bar are as follows:.inserted-change-bar { -ro-change-bar-color: #2ECC40; } .deleted-change-bar { -ro-change-bar-color: #FF6961; }I tried to add a margin to one of them but it did not work. How can I offset one of the bars so that they both display when a line has both an addition and a deletion?

I'm generating AEM pages using AEM Sites preset with custom component mapping with existing editable template. In the pages created links are not getting generated for glossary. For citation according to documentation it is supported only in Native PDF. Also for foot notes it is coming as a single line of text with no links.Currently I'm looking at using post processing workflows. Would like to know how we can process the pages created to create links for the same.

I searched through the online documentation, but I'm not finding instructions for defining fonts by language. For example, for all our Native PDF Publishing outputs, we're using Arial. It is looking like I need to assign the following languages to different fonts:Simplified Chinese: MicrosoftJhengHeiUITraditional Chinese: MicrosoftJhengHeiUI Some of the punctuation for Simplified Chinese is correct with the correct spacing, but our outputs are using the European double-quote spacing instead of the wider Chinese spacing. When I copy/paste from a translated PDF into Word, the text is in a mix of MS Gothic, Arial, and MicrosoftJhengHeiUI. The fonts embedded in the PDF include Nanum Gothic (which is supposed to be for Korean?). I know where the language mapping/aliasing is done for our older DITA-OT system, but I'm not seeing the settings for AEM Guides with Native PDF Publishing. What am I missing? Where are the fonts for Asian languages defined for Native PDF Publishi
