I'm generating AEM pages using AEM Sites preset with custom component mapping with existing editable template. In the pages created links are not getting generated for glossary. For citation according to documentation it is supported only in Native PDF. Also for foot notes it is coming as a single line of text with no links.Currently I'm looking at using post processing workflows. Would like to know how we can process the pages created to create links for the same.

Hello everyone - I am doing some work with AEM Guides, customizing the workflow but I am encountering NullPointerException on Create Review tasks. I searched through the online documentation, but I'm not finding instructions for defining fonts by language. For example, for all our Native PDF Publishing outputs, we're using Arial. It is looking like I need to assign the following languages to different fonts:Simplified Chinese: MicrosoftJhengHeiUITraditional Chinese: MicrosoftJhengHeiUI Some of the punctuation for Simplified Chinese is correct with the correct spacing, but our outputs are using the European double-quote spacing instead of the wider Chinese spacing. When I copy/paste from a translated PDF into Word, the text is in a mix of MS Gothic, Arial, and MicrosoftJhengHeiUI. The fonts embedded in the PDF include Nanum Gothic (which is supposed to be for Korean?). I know where the language mapping/aliasing is done for our older DITA-OT system, but I'm not seeing the settings for AEM Guides with Native PDF Publishing. What am I missing? Where are the fonts for Asian languages defined for Native PDF Publishi

Does anyone have a glossary/glossentry best practices for translations? The glossentries work great in the source language (English) when we integrate the terms into the text. The glossary entries also create a glossary in the PDF as expected in English. However, for languages where nouns change form (I know conjugate is the wrong word, but it is the closest I can think of) depending on how the term is used in the sentence, the glossary term no longer works as intended. The only thing I can think to do is to remove the glossary term (link) from the sentence and list it at the end of the topic something like, "Glossary Terms Used: glossentry1, glossentry2," where the link is in the topic, but not embedded within the sentence. This, however, would look really awkward in a PDF output. How are glossary entries supposed to be used for translated documents?

I want to edit an image directly within the AEM editor by selecting a portion of the image and adding elements like borders and polygons. I prefer not to use a different application for these edits and would like to know how to apply them directly in AEM. And save once borders added. For example I want to put a border for the below image,

I am working on an Adobe Guides set-up project and I have not been able to find any documentation about how to import an MS Word document and have it be ingested and converted to a working DITA file with Adobe Guides. Is there any documentation posted about this? It is touted as a feature of the application, but there does not appear to be any information about it, nor does it "just work" with the platform. Thank you for any insight! 

Hello Team , I have a requirement to create new "News Articles" (News Pages with only Images & Text assembled via 2/3 layouts) on AEM.  The content would be provided by the marketing team in Word. Currently the content Authors copy paste the data from word to create the pages.Is there a way to do the above activity programmatically ?  Currently we have AEM managed service 6.5 Document based Edge Is DITA the only way to achieve this ? If yes do we have any documentation for a step-by-step guide to implement the above functionality.ThanksHarish

I have an requirement in AEM guides cloud when an asset uploads need to perform some update activity on metadata .Earlier we hv Dam Update asset Workflow and there we can add any custom workflow model to achieve this goal .Here in AEM cloud as this workflow not available hence without adding any custom workflow is there any OOTB preprocessing workflow to achieve this goal.

Is there a way to change the Translation Status of objects in AEM Guides?If we send something out for translation, and the quote is rejected, how can we change the Translation Status of all assets back to either "out of sync" or "missing copy"?I canceled the Translation Project, but that hasn't changed the status of the objects. Do I just need to wait longer/overnight? Or does canceling the Project not affect the translation status? Versions: AEM Guides (UUID) 4.3.1.390 On-Prem Installation (Jan 15 2024)AEM 6.5.19 (Service Pack 19) On-Prem Installation (Jan 15 2024)

 Whenever I try to add an email link to a topic in the Guides Web Editor, I get a "FAILED TO SAVE FILE" error. Below is my code. This code comes straight from the Guides Web Editor Toolbar "Insert email link" button. I've check the docs also and the code appears to be correct. Any ideas why Guides will not save this? <xref href="mailto:PM@faa.gov" scope="external">PM@faa.gov</xref> 

Hello! I've run into an issue with links in Nitro PDF reader from Native PDF AEM output. When I have two links on the same line, like www.google.com and www.amazon.com, Nitro PDF seems to treat the entire line as the same link "block" and both URLs end up the same. In the case above, clicking on the Amazon link would take the user to Google. I'm not having this issue in Adobe Acrobat. This issue also does not occur when I output from DITA OT. Is this related to the way Native PDF parses links on output? Are there any options for a fix from the AEM side? We are on the current version of on-prem AEM and Guides. I believe the PDF readers are up-to-date, as well. Thanks for your help!Josh

We make updates to our PDF plugins to support new languages or fix formatting issues. We test these changes locally before deploying the update to our instances. I would prefer to run the local tests using the data command, as this is the supported option for the DITA-OT. Is it possible to configure the DITA Profile in Guides to do the same? Thanks!

Does anyone know of a way where we can either set up AEM or use external software to help us do the following A way to document when a page's content has been last changed (beyond just a typo fix). Perhaps the author could leave notes in a log what they changed.Send reminders to certain people we define at defined intervals telling them to review the content on a page. This would help us ensure it is still accurate and compliant. thanks

Let's assume I created some topics and corresponding map using AEM Guides.If I want an output file for example as AEM Sites, where I can change styles so its would render my content with a particular style that I defined.By default, If I generate an output as AEM Sites then the content is getting rendered as below.I wanted to add my own logo and make some other UI changes .Can someone help me with the same and guide me how can I do this?

Using Guides 4.01 non UUID with both FM as an editor and the Guides interface. When inserting xrefs using FM (insert <xref> element), an outputclass is assigned automatically to the xref, which dynamically links that xref to its point of reference. (In this case, a table note. As a result, these xrefs are automatically numbered to the corresponding table note.) Is there a way to create xrefs in Guides to dynamically number like this (so when using xrefs in table footnotes, the number it’s referencing is automatically applied)? This seems to work in FM but not Guides (Guides does not assign the outputclass that FM does). Example xref as constructed in FM: <xref outputclass="fm:Figure with Number" href=#concept_xxx/xxx"/>
