Adobe Experience Manager Assets

Does anyone know if Adobe has plans to make AEM Assets understand InCopy files? I'd love to see Asset Link for InCopy, as well as for AEM Assets to understand the file format and prompt the user to update the link to an InCopy file that's been modified and placed back in AEM Assets. Currently if you modify a photo or Illustrator file that resides on AEM Assets and re-open an InDesign file that has a link to that asset, ID prompts you to refresh the link and you can see the changed asset in your ID file. This same workflow does NOT work with InCopy files. You CAN link to an icml file on AEM Assets, but you can't do the same with icma files. And if you DO link to an icml file on AEM Assets, it appears to break the functionality of it being an InCopy file, so the little icon is removed from the text frame. Updating the icml file on AEM Assets doesn't prompt InDesign file to refresh it. As soon as I relink to a local icml file, it refreshes and adds the little icon back to the text

Hi,We have a requirement to do full text search while we search from the AEM Assets Search ConsoleExample: Suppose I search with key word "apple" it would result me 10 assets, ifI search with key word "mango" it would result me 10 assets.If i search with "apple mango" it is resulting 0 assets but it should result 20 assets.How to perform this using OOTB features Regards,Devi  @arunpatidar @estebanbustamante 

Can someone please explain the functionality and intention of the Adjust and Republish check boxes when you go to move an asset in the Assets view?I can't find documentation that defines them. Based on what I can cobble together on my own using the discussion boards, it looks like Adjust would update any links that reference the asset. Is this correct? If you didn't check the box, what happens? Does it impact published links? Thanks! 

Currently we like to achieve the following with our AEM and Dynamic Media:   We upload a PDF into the AEM, it is getting synced to DynamicMedia(DM) and published. In the DM-Classic Windows App I can get the AssetFile-URL that opens the PDF in the browser if opened.   But from AEM perspective we like to achieve that our users are able to get the same URL or any kind of view for that PDF. Currently we check the renditions view of the assets for the dynamic renditions, we got a image-preset but if you follow that URL you only get page-1 of that PDF as image. But we would like to get the pdf or at least all pages as image of that document.   Any ideas how to achieve that? Do I achieve that by configuration of the AEM / Dynamic Media, it it a special image-preset or viewer that I need? Its important that the url is accessable by a AEM-User.

My organization has permanently licensed hundreds of Adobe stock photos. We'd like to import these into our DAM but have run into several issues:1. It's only possible to select a page with 10 photos at a time and each one has its own download button, it doesn't appear possible to do a bulk download let alone that of a single page. If download icon is selected after multiples are checked, only the first image is downloaded. 2. If this functionality is available, is it possible to transfer these stock photo assets we've purchased directly into the DAM since they're both Adobe programs?3. If not, can a request be made to Adobe to bulk transfer these assets to a specific One Drive location? We have over 2K photos and downloading one at a time is not how any customer wants to spend their time.

Hi All,I have a folder structure a shown below /Content/dam/content/dam/Common/Content/dam/FolderA/Common/Content/dam/FolderB/Common I dont want duplicate the content/images of Common DAM folder under Folder A and Folder B I tried creating a nt:/linkedfile and jcr:Reference etc... but nothing worked.Is there any solution to link one folder to another folder in AEM DAM.Please suggest

Hi All, We want to migrate assets from one CMS to Aem as a cloud.As the license for AEM assets is not available, we cannot use Bulk Import functionality of AEM assets.ACS commons MCP asset ingestor is not available on AEM as a Cloud so we cannot use that as well.What is the solution we have OOTB to do a Asset migration. Can we use Desktop Tool for this. Or do we need to write a Custom Solution if we dont have aem assets license.

We use AEM DAM cloud service. I would like to limit users in the DAM to only view, download, share.  I have two questions on this topic: 1. Does anyone know best practice on how to clean up your Groups? We have a ton of groups; some have 50 users, and some have 1 user.  2. How do you edit Group and User permissions?     -I tried going to Tools>Security>Groups> Clicking on a Group but all that shows me is what members are in there. I was hoping it would allow me to edit a group to view/read only access.   Thanks! 

Hi I am looking for references or documentation to integrate AEM Assets into Drupal. Is there any references or documents? is that supported?

I am creating an integration between the AEM system and our PIM system.  What I want to accomplish is I want to be able to "monitor" a particular folder structure and if an asset is moved to this folder or any subfolders I want to download it and upload it into our PIM system.  I need basically two capabilities:1. A way to do a quick query to say are there any assets (other than folders) in a given folder2. Download any of those assets I have been through the documentation and it seems the HTTP Asset API seems like the most logical choice but I don't see an easy way to achieve #1 without manually iterating the folder structure I want to monitor and do a list contents call checking for assets.  This does not seem like a good choice.  Is there an easier way to do such a query?  Is the Http Assets API not the way to do it? I should add that this is AEM 6.5 on premise not the cloud service. Thanks.

I am looking to build a workflow that will check for specific metadata that is added by a metadata profile.Once the metadata is validated I want the workflow to move those files to a new folder.I should be able to do that within the workflow tool and not using code in CRX.Any help is appreciated.

Hello Community. In researching migrating files from other Adobe programs to AEM Essentials I learned of Adobe Asset Link. It appears from reading about the product that it's an add-on only for AEM Enterprise version not Essentials DAM. Is this correct?  

Hello, I am new to Adobe Experience Manager Assets, and looking to understand Security Groups & Folder Permission in Adobe AEM Assets. I have:a user group called Authors which has read/write permissions to a folder called Creatives. a user group called Reviewer which has read permissions to the folder called Creatives.Doubts:If I give the Author user's Viewer Permission to the Creative folder will they still be able to read/write content in that folder?If I give the Reviewer user's Editor/Owner Permission to the Creative folder will they be able to write/edit content in that folder?If I give the people in the Author group Viewer Permission to a folder will they still have edit access to it? Please help me understand how these work.

Can somebody please confirm that what is the maximum number of assets an author can upload(in parallel) using the AEM Interface in AEM Assets Cloud Service.

Reqiurement:I wanted to add a dynamic drop-down field in AEM Content Fragment Model. But while creating fragment, it need to show me the possible list of values populated in the drop-down from a back-end API.I already exlored acs commons generic list option but that again seems to be static. In case, if there are future changes to the content fragment model, then there is a need to update generic list again. Is there a possible approach to populate the JSON from API in a content fragment model?

Hello, I've been trying to use the HTTP Assets API to upload files, create folders, and publish assets in our AEM Production environment through Postman. While I'm able to successfully accomplish these tasks in our lower environments (local, dev, stage) I'm always blocked doing so in Production. For example, when trying to create a new folder in production using this endpoint: "https://prod-example-url/api/assets/northerntrust/test/newTest" With this in the body: { "class":"assetFolder", "properties":{ "title":"Test Folder9" } } I get a 500 error: Unable to create node at /content/dam/northerntrust/test/newTestSimilarly, I've gotten errors when trying to replicate content that state: Warn: No rights to replicate. We have observed that in Admin View if a Metadata Schema is created and applied to a folder , those changes doesn't reflect in Asset View under Metadata Forms or on the asset properties. Vice a versa behavior is there when the Metadata Forms are created in Asset View. This will create confusion for the end user as they would see a diff. set of properties in both Admin view and Assets view. Also this would be a problem w.r.t manageability of these.  Also if the Librarian has applied a metadata schema in AEM to a folder and when an author has uploaded an Asset in Assets View then the required properties might get missed as well. Any thoughts by anyone on the above issue?

Hi Team, I am new to AEM and am trying to pick it up as fast as possible as it is a very interesting platform to learn.  How can I resize the Description box when creating custom metadata schema? It is a single text line. I want it to be at least 5 lines and display at all time. It should also adjust size automatically to display the entire entered text. Screen grabs for reference.
