Using Kanban in the Boards Module

For anyone who is using Kanban within the Boards module > I am curious to know what issues or limitations you've experience with the Boards module.   We currently using Teams for both Scrum and Kanban teams, but are looking into transition Kanban to Boards.  Any insight or wisdom is greatly appreciated.

In my instance, I have teams running in both options each for various functionality needs - 

Kanban Team If:

• If you need a backlog functionality, with only approved (Ready) items making their way onto the Kanban board for the team to work on
• Team is primarily given work via tasks/issues, especially if assigned by other people/teams
• You absolutely need everything to be reportable/visible in other areas of Workfront
• Team can accept column names that match system-level status settings without customization available
• All work you need to see is actually being assigned TO that team and more flexible intake filters are not required
• Need access to full grid Views with additional fields about the work assignments easily
• Team need ability to use existing task/issue filters and grouping to prioritize their work easily

Kanban Board if:

• The team want to use columns that do not align with your system-level status options (this is the main reason we largelygave up on Kanban Teams)
• Team is primarily self-managing with a smaller backlog
• Team needs flexible intake filters (assigned to team, assigned to specific people, from specific project queue etc)
• Team need ability to create quick ad-hoc tasks without overhead of project plans
• Some reporting limitations are acceptable to process, ad-hoc unlinked cards will not show up anywhere in reporting except the Board and do not support document attachments
• Quick access to full grid views of data about tasks/issues is not a requirement, team can work on minimal 'who, what, when, why' without custom form data needed quickly at hand
• Team can function with minimal filter options, and do not need anything pre-built for task/issue reports
