Updating percentage in My Work or My Tasks

It was brought to my attention today by a team member that when the percentage of a task is updated in the My Work or My Tasks Widgets in the New Home, it is updating the overall task completion for everyone and not just the percentage of work completed by that individual user.  For example, if there are 3 users assigned to a task, if 1 user updates the percentage complete in their my task widget, it marks the task complete for everyone and removes the task from the other users my task list.  It was my understanding that marking the percent complete in My tasks is only supposed to update the percent complete for that user not for everyone.  Also, they do not have the option to select done with my part in my tasks, they can only see that that option if they click into the task from the actual project.  Is the my task and my work functioning as it was intended?  Not sure what the point is of having these two widgets if it updates the task for everyone and not just the individual user.

Updating the percentage has always updated for all assignees as far as I know. But I agree that marking "done with my part" is harder in the new home.

In both the My Work and My Tasks widgets, if an item is assigned to multiple people, clicking on Start Task > Mark As Done will give you the option to choose Done With My Part or Closed. At first, I wished it would give you the dropdown menu like the old home did, but this forces the user to decide whether or not to close the whole thing. I can see the logic of this new approach.

I've only tested this in WF Preview and not on any items assigned to me, but I'm interested in hearing other people's experiences.
