Reporting on custom fields not being used

We're in the midst of doing custom field clean up to remove custom fields that are no longer being actively used. As a starting point I want to list fields (parameters) that are not found in the definition field of any filters. My failed approach was to do an EXISTS filter on a parameter report looking for parameter names that don't exist in any filter definition fields. But I don't think it's possible because the filter definition never EQUALS the parameter name, though it may CONTAIN the parameter name. Therefore the report throws an error. On a parameter report: EXISTS:A:$$OBJCODE=UIFT EXISTS:A:definition=FIELD:name EXISTS:A:$$EXISTSMOD=NOTEXISTS Does anyone know how to list custom fields that are not being used in any filters? Hi Cory, Tough one. To do it through the API (or api-unsupported, more specifically) I'd need to mull that one over a bit, but while doing so, would cheat and use our "http://store.atappstore.com/product/workfront-snapshot/">Workfront Snapshot solution to pull all that info into a local Microsoft Access database and use SQL queries to do the heavy lifting (eg INSTR, Like, Exists, etc). If you'd like to explore that approach, you're welcome to email me at doug.denhoed@atappstore.com. Regards, Doug Doug Den Hoed - AtAppStore Got Skills?
