ProofHQ Workflow – Adding comments :-(((

Hi All, On the previous version of ProofHQ (Green/Orange) adding a comment was a case of clicking on the orange 'Add comment' button and then simply clicking one of the EIGHT comment tools of your choice which was two clicks. Now on the newer version (blue) you click 'Add comment' and then click a drop down menu and then click one of the SIX comments tools which is now three clicks. May seem trivial but on occasion some of my clients have added 400+ comments! This drop down menu is an unnecessary step as there is plenty of space available for these tools? Plus the time it takes when you add numerous comments adds up. All in all it has a negative effect on workflow. Functionality trumps design with the exception of a piece of art that's function is its design. IMO the UI designers in persuing a 'nice' clean look of the current version of ProofHQ have unfortunately reduced its usabilityand as a result it no longer functions as well as its should or could. :-( Also the legacy version which I favour no longer shows comments automatically and viewing them seems to be an erratic affair of clicking the golf T (top right) and clicking the 'show all' in the proof settings? :-( A clean simple workflow is better than a clean simple UI, please fix... Pretty please. :-) Thanks, Peter S

Peter, Did you know that you can change the setting to reveal all of the tools when commenting? Navigate to the left hand side of the proof viewer and select the gear to "Use expanded markup tools". See attached. Hope this helps. Joanne. Hello, Peter and Joanne. In the Preview environment (available now to Workfront administrators and releasing to everyone with 18.3 next week), that setting is set as the default. I hope that cuts down on lots of clicks! I feel your pain on, Peter. Here is the recent announcement about this: "https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009595353-2018-3-Beta-Final#proofing-markup-tools-now-expanded-by-default">"Proofing Markup Tools Now Expanded by Default" in "https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/360009595353-2018-3-Beta-Final">"2018.3 Beta Final." And here is the Help information that covers this setting: "https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005077553?flash_digest=69baf7534a94ffe4350a92a65dbb8e62a348afd8#configuring-markup-tools-to-always-display" target="_blank" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005077553?flash_digest%3D69baf7534a94ffe4350a92a65dbb8e62a348afd8%23configuring-markup-tools-to-always-display&source=gmail&ust=1541176708825000&usg=AFQjCNGVhoivMANnVq9H_rm6Nboyysj0HA" rel="noopener">"Configuring Markup Tools to Display in a Menu" in the article "https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005077553-Modifying-Web-Proofing-Viewer-Configuration-Settings" target="_blank" data-saferedirecturl="https://www.google.com/url?q=https://support.workfront.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005077553-Modifying-Web-Proofing-Viewer-Configuration-Settings&source=gmail&ust=1541176708825000&usg=AFQjCNH0gvB510gOa9B3ueZWj-eiHIvkew" rel="noopener">"Modifying Web Proofing Viewer Configuration Settings."
