I just asked a question on the community...definitely asking another one! There is a standard field in a project report that allows me to display whether or not a project has documents. This is awesome, but really only useful if I could display whether or not a project has proofs.
Is there any kind of custom text mode I could use to make this slight modification? This is the built-in text mode...
valuefield=project:hasDocuments
querysort=project:hasDocuments
valueformat=booleanMessage
displayname=
linkedname=project
namekey=view.relatedcolumn
namekeyargkey.0=project
namekeyargkey.1=hasDocuments
As an alternative, could I adjust the text mode to tell me if there are documents containing only a certain name?

Hi Samantha -
If you build a document report, you can add the Project Name as a Column or Group by it and then filter where Proof ID is Not Blank to get the results.
Not knowing what other fields of data you may need to see, this worked for me.
Hope this helps,
Teale

This is good, but not quite what I'm looking for. I'm trying to add a column to a project report that will help me know if that project has proofs. Any thoughts?

Unfortunately, I don't see anything in the API to expose a relationship between the project and a 'proof'. You can use Has Documents = True but it won't distinguish between a doc and a proof.
The document report does allow you to pull in all of the Project information though and shows the Proof information. I've pulled the project name, and planned start and end dates into this document report. I don't see any limitation in capturing the project data in this way.
Sorry I can't be more helpful,

It's ok! You gave me way more information than I knew myself and I really appreciate it! Hopefully there will be some way to do this with the reporting update that is coming.

Thank you for digging into this, @Teale McCleaf‚! @Samantha Isin‚ I can totally understand why you're trying to differentiate between documents and proofs and report on it. I tried looking through the Innovation Lab for an idea around this and didn't see anything immediately pop out for it. Maybe it's time to submit an idea and see if it can get some traction that way.
I love this Workfront community we have here. :)
