How do you guys work with Programs? Do you assign them to Groups? Can Programs be assigned to more than one Group?

We tend to think of Programs as a sub-level between Portfolios and Projects - in our world that means a group of like-minded projects would be in the same Program.

We use groups as a way to further organize people and provide access.

Programs (which we renamed to Seasons) act like a "container" for our team to store projects that support that specific season for our business.

We use the Portfolio to categorize our business teams. 

Users are in groups so we can segment them out to the portfolio(s) they need to be associated with.

 

Example structure:

Portfolio: DSW Marketing

Season Program:😞 2023 Fall Season

Group that has access to the above: DSW Marketing Team
