Notifications to user on specific Task steps

I'm looking to notify a select set of users when specific tasks and sub-tasks are completed on a project template. My plan is to have about 5 sub-task notifications send out when the status is changed. Does anyone have any ideas on how I can achieve this ability or create a workaround to make it happen?

Hi Brandon. Assuming you are tracking the changes in question via Updates From Feed and that they (then) are being captured as NOTES, I'd suggest you create a scheduled NOTE report that looks for the Audit Text of interested, within the past 24 hours, and delivers it daily to the folks who are interested.
