In case I'm missing a WF Time Hack - Copy Custom Field?

Avatar

I believe this has been brought up many times 😔 but in case I missed an update or a good work-around-time-save-hack -- we have the need to routinely copy fields with large sets of metadata (list of values in pull down etc) and rename the new field -- Asset 1; Asset 2, Asset 3 etc etc...

Typically you have to just copy and paste all of the data from one field to the new one - majority of items in Workfront land allow you to copy said item - except fields...

Maybe the use case is too small here BUT I have a feeling this is a more common ask than not?

Hi John,

I keep meaning to look for an undocumented API routine for this one (or write one), but until then (as I do) suggest you kickstart out > rename > kickstart in.
