How do I set up Task B that can start when Task A starts and can finish up to two days after Task A is finished

New to Workfront but doing ok on working most things out.
However, hoping someone can help with this one.
I have Task A that has a duration of 4 days.
I then have task B that has a duration of 1 day.
Task B can start one day after Task A starts and can finish up to two days after task A is done.
How do I set up task B to reflect this as it is like Task be has two predecessors, both being Task A.
One would be SS+1d
One would be FF+2d
But you cannot have a Task with two predecessors from the same Task.  Well, not that I have found.

Thanks for any help with this one.

Hi Eric -

If you want to allow Task B to have a planned completion date that is 2 days past Task A, you can use the duration to set the PCD and use the SS+1d predecessor to set the planned start date. Even if Task B only requires 1 days worth of work, you can show that by inputting 8 hours for the planned hours instead of using 1 day for the duration.

Hope this helps,

Hi TealeMc4,

Thank for the reply.

I am sure this is because I misinterpreted your answer, but I am not getting the expected result.

Below is a screenshot of what I think you suggested, but it shows Task B finishing before Task A.

I want Task B to be able to finish no later than 2 days after Task A finishes. So, in my example, Task A starts on Monday, 11 November, and can finish on Friday, 15th. Task B can start on Tuesday 12th November and finish no later than 2 days after Task A finishes. This puts Task B's finish date as Wednesday, 20th November (assuming Weekends are non-working days).

I thought the answer might be to set the duration of Task B to be 6 days and not 1? But the issue is if Task A finishes early, then Task B should also finish early, but if I set the duration of Task B to be 6 days, then it will not finish early based on Task A being completed before the planned completion date.
